It is this abrasiveness towards Ranma that I find
slammish. You may not consider that slammish and
that's okay.

Blade does have certain views about characterization
and he sticks to them, I just don't happen to
fully agree with them.

The second is soon to be continued (sooner if Blade talks Harnum into 
doing it ;p) and the plot structure definitely doesn't have too much in 
the way of a character slam.

Maybe so, but Blade doesn't like Ranma much and
it shows in both fics. Which is why after reading
both from his website back in 1996, I stopped
reading his fics. Heck, 2/3s of time I kept getting
distracted by my mind making up an SI (of CoD and
KC) on the fly to try and "fix" things.

Whenever I have this kind of reaction to a story
I simply stop and try to forget it.

Will have to see where Harnum (if he does do it)
goes with Kyoto Chronicles before I may any new
judgemnets. Judgements based on my own personal
biases.
