Oh... For the record, I'm extremely fond of "Magic", Lawson's allegedly 
forgettable next generation fic.  I like it a great deal better than 
TIL,
although not as much as TOP.  Actually, I consider it to be a classic

_Magic_ was tedious and ultimately worthless. Lawson needed to work out 
his Next Generation fascination, and he's never re-visited the series 
since. Once the novelty of creating your own Ranma cast wears off, you 
get bored and give it up. Lawson is just one in many who have went 
through this stage.

And, for the record, Lawson's new characters were boring and completely 
un-Ranma. He uses Nouma as a vehicle for spouting his favorite college 
psychology lessons. Mikanma and Khu Lon is cardboard and everyone else 
are practically non-persons. And they're all college students taking, 
oh, computer engineering, medicine, etc. A 2 on the SI scale, 
unimaginative, un-Ranma and really, really boring.
