Lately, many people have been taking notice of your rather vicious
attack upon the writers that frequent the FFML. Since I am a relatively
new member of the FFML, I do not know whether this has been a recent
occurrence or if you have been at this practice for a protracted period
of time. Regardless, it is time that you consider altering your behavior
slightly.

Although some examples of fan fiction are not... of the highest quality,
you must keep in mind that not every one of the writers who submits
their work to the FFML are Pulitzer Prize winners. The main purpose of
their posts is to expose their work(s) to a wide audience. It is their
hope, that if found deficient, people who frequent the FFML will
hopefully point out some of their mistakes in a manner that will prove
beneficial to them instead of invoking a defensive response that is
counter-productive to both the author and the good samaritan that was
trying to help him/her. A little praise often works wonders as well.

Something has caused you to assume the position that you have. Most of
the people on the FFML belong to two major camps. One side believes that
you are merely a mean-spirited troll whose weak nature and haughty
arrogance has lead to your current behavior. The other side is of the
opinion that there is a grand purpose behind your meddlings. I am
inclined to agree with them. Your speech pattern makes it plain to any
casual observer that you have a keen mind, at least when it comes to the
finer points of English grammar and composition. If one as to use your
past comments as a barometer of your writing experience, you would seem
to place yourself in a position of excellence. In either case, it seems
clear that you look down upon the majority of the writers who post their
work on the FFML. Whether or not you have earned this right is debatable
but nonetheless, it is what you have done.

As for the people who are sooooo angry with him, consider this. Always
Man posted a particularly scathing C&C at 20:44 on 9/10/98. By the time
the server cycled and the new mail had been sent out, the readers had
responded in force. At least 50% of the response between 20:44 and 3:15
was either directly related to Always Mans least commentary or
indirectly connected to him in some other fashion (People wanting to
judge his fan fiction, supporting authors who had been criticized,
etc...). You hang on to every word this man puts out. Every insult or
word of print he as generated has been debated, pondered over,
threatened, attacked, and pulverized. Putting all discussion of whether
he is right or wrong aside, Always Man as done a wonderful job of
holding your attention. He stands on center stage on the FFML, and you
have helped put him there.

Personally, I enjoyed reading the C&C that Always Man had put out
regarding Mr. Lawsons fanfic. I have not personally read any of the
fanfics mentioned in the report so I cannot pass any judgment on them or
support/attack Always Mans position. However the C&C put forth by
Always Man was... amusing.

Always Man (for lack of a better title I will use your username for now)
there is no doubt that you do have a certain... purpose behind your
constant... critiquing of fan fiction. What that purpose is no is quite
sure of. However, it might be prudent for you to consider opening up or
at least toning down your words to the authors of this group. While they
might not all possess the intellectual might of the same degree, they
all have their own individual strength. Your responses are always
targeted at the individual, you deal with one person at a time. They [
the authors] are forming an army. Plans are being laid for your
downfall, people are coming together to discuss strategy. If one plan
has a flaw, others quickly point it out and offer new suggestions. You
are one man fighting a war against a vast array of opponents. All of
them are coming together to plot your destruction, bringing different
skills and tactics with them. I severely doubt that even a general of
the highest intelligence and the greatest skill, can defeat a society
that has turned against him.

If you continue your current stance, and fight this kind of
opposition... you stand alone.
