I have a premise for a fic and I want some feedback about it. 

The 

idea

is that instead of having Kodachi be in love with Ranma, have Ranma 

accidently

knock out
Akari's pet pig.

That would be interesting. Ranma would pity her a bit and try to protect 
her from the others, which they could then perceive as favoritism.
