OK, before I get to the ever-so-delightful process of dissecting the 
Troll's BS, let me say, Miko, that this was one of the most promising 
next gen fics I've read.  Intriguing situations, sympathetic characters 
and lots of potential plot threads.  Looking forward to the rest.

'Scuse me?  What's so cliche about it?  The cliche is for the victim of 
the taunts to be rescued by the hero of the piece, not to beat up the 
thugs himself.

No, the cliche was the cheesy set-up for the See He's Really Tough 
scene.

  Bold words from someone who has yet to post word one of his own 
fiction on the list.  Y'know, Troll, we all await the awesome spectacle 
you promised a bit back.

If my challenger posts his fic, I'll follow up with something I'll just 
throw out in an hour to show how a proper fanfiction should be crafted. 
Don't expect anything wonderful--my serious fics are in the works, so 
you'll just have to be patient.
