You know, you're prose isn't all that bad. You're problem is that you

Now where do you come up with that?

The only words I can find by Takahashi that are perhaps
applicable are from the Memorial book:

	"I wanted to make "Ranma" a funny, kind of happy
	comic that can cheer up the reader, therefore I
	was thinking it was a good idea . . ."

It seems to me if you write a fic to "cheer up the reader"
as Takahashi did, then it's in the spirit of Ranma 1/2, 
and therefore very 'valid', even if done as a next
generation story.
