If you say so.
But I guess you haven't been writing a genre for about three-four years.
But, no, it wasn't just 'lemons' that were banned, it was 'lemon scented'.
Every single thing that I've written has been 'lemon scented if it wasn't
outright lemon.
So write something without the overblown sex scenes, if you want to
enter the contest. If you don't, then quit whining. The contest
organizers have the right to exclude porn--or anything else--if they
want to.
And I have a right to stand up for my genre, thank you very much, and not
anyone treat the genre like it's worthless and less fit for children than
violence!
Kun-chan...
No one mentioned violence until you brought it up. Would it make you
feel better if the added a restriction on graphic violence? I'm sure
they'd be happy to do it.
I'm also sure you wouldn't feel the least bit better.
I agree with Caroline.... in many respects about the Lemon stuff. Us
people in America are so Tightass<Sorry the expression> and constipated [. . .

As for Caroline..... This *IS* Discrimination against her, but it's also
HELP! HELP! I'M BEING REPRESSED!
Ms. Seawright is NOT being discriminated against. She's perfectly free
to enter the contest as long as she follows the contest rules. She
doesn't want to do that; she'd rather bitch and moan.
Not long ago there was a contest for Ryoga fanfics. Suppose I had come
on this mailing list and whined and cried about how I only write Kodachi
fanfics, and I'm being discriminated against because the rules don't
allow Kodachi fanfics, and isn't it awful, poor me. I would have been
laughed at, and quite rightly.
Despite all the irrelevant yammering on this thread about how America is
being run by fundamentalist goombahs, this is exactly what Ms. Seawright
is doing.
