Actually, I think she was right.  Other than Ranma, Ukyo has to 

choose

from either a boy who thinks he's a girl, or a boy who thinks he's a
mailbox, as they are the only ones in love with her.

Akane, on the other hand, has:
Ryoga, who, while my least favorite male character, is still a

guy.  Kuno, who's rich, if slightly deranged.  Shinnosuke, who may 

have

a memory like a sieve but is still a nice guy.  Those three are
unnattached and in love with her.

What is this?  Ranmaffirmative Action?  If Ukyo deserves Ranma more 

than

Akane does because she has fewer suitors, then doesn't Kodachi deserve
Ranma more than Ukyo does?  After all, Ukyou has Konatsu, but Kodachi
has absolutely no one.  Plus, she's rich, if slightly deranged.

I couldn't have said it better myself.  I, personally, am an advocate of 
the Ranma/Kodachi match-up.  For this thread, however, I was merely 
covering the Ranma/Ukyo vs. Ranma/Akane.
I believe the order of 'deservation' is as follows. I've only listed the 
major contenders.
Names in parenthese are people in love with said person.

Kodachi (Nobody)

Nabiki (Also nobody, but could get a guy easier than Kodachi)

Shampoo (Mousse)
Kasumi (Dr Tofu)  Kasumi is listed below Shampoo because it's generally 
agreed upon that she and the doc are made for each other.

Ukyou (Tsubasa, Konatsu)

Akane (Ryoga, Shinnosuke, Kuno, The male population of Furinkan High 
School)
