Apologies to all for dropping out of the middle of a discussion that I
started. I spent the weekend learning several things about my computer:
1. Packard Hells are known by this nomenclature for a reason.
2. K56Flex winmodems and 75 MHz processors don't mix.
3. Don't tap dance on the edge of the abyss: buy a new motherboard and
get out of the Stone Age.

2) The bit involving the locals (and even the higher-ups) "covering their own
asses" is all but true (especially where I work.)
This is a major plot point in the 'fic. Takeda wants to do everything he
can to stop the killer(s). Ozawa is there to keep the investigation from
going public outside of Nerima. Expect fireworks...
3) Mr. GUtB/Critic/etc. may say that the "outsider looking at the Ranma cast"
is overused, but I like where this is going. If he speaks up on this fanfic,
I would probably ignore him.
I generally do as a matter of course. "Don't feed the Troll" and all
that. Funny how he hasn't responded, though. You'd think the non-Ranma
cast main characters would burn his ass.
Okay! I admit it! Takeda is the author in disguise! hahahahahaha!!! It's
self-insertion!!! bwa-hahahaha!!!
*ahem* just kidding.
Now, I would like to say that I don't care who is revealed to be the killer.
I don't really have any favorite Ranma character. (If you suggest that Lum is
the killer, though, there may be a few ZAKS! coming your way.) ^_-
Fear not, I do not think I am capable of writing UY stories...
