One wonders if Miyazaki is aware that a nonsense word plucked at random for a
name makes one of his more famous works an obcene request/phrase in several
major countries.

 
Was it a nonsense word, though?  I could've sworn it was something Norse...

I guess the title change is justified, but it took me a while to figure out,
though I know Spanish.  IIRC, "Laputa" is pronounce "Lah-pyuta", right?  The
Spanish expletive would be pronounced "La puta"

I would like to add my praise for the Disney dub.  I thought it was
fantastically done.

And, yes, it should be easily available at Wal-Mart.  It's actually quite a
large-scale release.
