Other than the "no lemons" restriction, you haven't specified anything
about the kind of stories you're looking for -- not even what
manga/anime series they can be based on. You also haven't told us what
the stories will be judged on.

She did specify ANY genre though Gary. This sounds like a wide open
contest, which in light of all the contests strictly for Ranma or SM fics,
would be nice for all the authors who have chosen to write about other
series. In fact, I'd like to see an organized annual fanfiction contest,
that allows submissions from any author, any series and any type (lemon
etc.). This could be organized into categories (series etc.) to keep things
simple, but I think an annual contest might be kinda fun, as long as
everyone partcipates in the spirit of such a contest :)

I suggest you reconsider what you're doing. Pick a theme for the contest
-- e.g. sweetest romance, funniest comedy, fic that best showcases a
certain character -- anything that gives us authors (not to mention your
judges) an idea of what you're looking for.

I kinda like the wide-open format. I've seen plenty of other contests
mentioned here that focus on certain aspects of fanfiction, but never a
wide-open everyone can enter type of thing. But more details would
certainly be nice, such as a deadline for submissions and, as you suggest
Gary, a document size restriction.

Also, I advise you to set a size limit on submissions. I expect your
judges will appreciate not having to read through 5 MB of fic.

Unless they plan on announcing the winners sometime next fall ^_^
