Well, this isn't really what I should be posting right now... but considering that I've got quite a bit to go before I even feel good enough to release the final part of Angel's Chronicles. The rest of it are also undergoing necessary revisions and such will be reposted along with the final part.
For now, this is a teaser to what will be another crossover.
It's an EVA/Tenchi/AMG crossover.
And the funny thing is, this one is set before Once and Future Goddess....
I'll let you people think on that one for a while, for now....

"Class, we have another new student in our midst." announced their teacher.
"Please make her feel welcome.
A young girl with bright red eyes -- not so unlike that of Rei -- stepped into their
class. She waved at them cheerfully as she walked towards the center of the classroom.
She was of medium height, light blue hair framed a perfectly formed face save for a light
sprinkling of freckles on her nose. Her cheerful demeanor was a change for the usual
moods prevailing around school.
Sasami smiled, bowing before the class.
"Ohayou, minna-san. Hajimemaste. Watashiwa Jurai Sasami. Dozoyouroshko."
No one spoke.
Sasami blinked, unsure of what to make of the sudden silence.
She waited.
The professor waited.
Everyone waited.
Three minutes later, the professor broke the ice, informing the class to be
courteous to their new classmate and make her feel at home.
"Hmmm.. well not the usual response I would have expected. Anyway, if you
would take a seat next to Hikari over there," the professor pointed to a brown-haired
young woman, "we can begin."
"Hai."
==============
Lunch break came not too soon for Sasami. She had always been an apt student
back home. Always listening and participating. Always the happy camper in the group.
Still, she had never, in her life, thought to meet someone who could actually put her to
sleep with his lectures.
She sighed, reaching for the bento box in her bag.
Halfway through her lunch, three guys approached her cautiously. She blinked a
couple of times, nibbling on the chopsticks she had in her mouth.
"Umm anything I can do for you guys?" she asked, nibbling on one end of her
chopsticks.
The three started, unsure of what to say. For that matter, unsure of why they
were there in the first place.
"Ah well I'm Shinji. Ikari Shinji." introduced the first one.
"I'm Kensuke. Aida Kensuke. You need anything, just ask for me, 'kay??"
"Touji. Suzuhara Touji." the one in the black sweatshirt introduced simply.
Sasami smiled.
"Ohayou!! I'm Sasami. Glad to meet you."
"You'd better be careful those perverts don't do anything to you, Ms. Jurai."
warned an officious feminine voice.
Sasami turned to the speaker, a pretty, red-haired young woman with strange-
looking hairpins clipped on her hair. Sasami saw the pain in the woman's eyes. Pain very
much like anyone else's nowadays. A suffering mirrored by the handful of people that
had survived the Second Impact.
"Nani??"
"Well, considering you're talking to the Three Stooges"
"Just what is your problem?" Shinji asked, suddenly, his voice reminiscent of his
father's.
Asuka blinked, surprised by the sudden show of backbone from Shinji.
Tossing her hair, she quickly resumed her arrogant stance and smirked.
"Nothing that should concern you, Third Child."
"Hmmm must be that time of the month for her." muttered Touji to his two
compatriots.
Kensuke nodded, hiding a smile.
Shinji blinked, realizing the logic of what Touji just said. "Really?! But I
thought she'd had _that_ last week?? I mean, those tampons -- "
"Then she must have it everyday then." Kensuke opined.
Everyone around class had this huge sweatdrop on their forehead upon hearing
that statement. Not that it was inherently true. Of course, no one was that stupid to voice
that out in front of Asuka. Well, mostly everyone. Asuka glared prog knives at the trio,
fists clenched tightly beside her, her body visibly trembling with pent-up ire.
Now, if she could only do that battle aura thingee not to mention the mallet.
"What. Did. You. Jerks. SAY?!!!!!!!" she demanded, her voice so filled with
venom that it could have killed an angel in a heartbeat.
"Nothing that's not already widely known." replied Touji offhand, seemingly
oblivious to the danger he was courting by pissing Asuka off so.
Even Shinji was backing away from an impending pounding.
Sasami was unsure how to react to this. It all felt like all those fights her sister
Ayeka had with Ryoko before Tenchi married them both in 2012. Sasami idly wondered
if this was what was happening between this woman and that shy one Shinji.
"Touji." Asuka said quietly, her voice like ice. "DIE!!!"
But, luckily or unluckily, depending on who's perspective, their professor
returned to resume class.
Sasami could see the fires in Asuka's eyes burning hotly. She was seriously
pissed off at that young man Touji, she thought his name was. She shrugged, knowing
that this was hardly over.
*It's good to be back in school.* she thought amusedly, a small smile playing on
her lips.
==============
It was five in the afternoon. Everyone had just finished cleaning up their
respective classrooms and were going home, happy for another day of living. It was hard
to lead a normal life under the constant threat of death. Even young people like them
could hardly fend off such worries for long.
No one could have expected hell on earth to be like this.
Hardly the type the preachers had often made it look. No. Hell on Earth had a
different meaning.
Humanity was slowly dying.
Sasami was momentarily blinded by the reddish glare of the sun as it slowly set
in the horizon. It was surprising how even with all the darkness in the world nowadays,
mankind had persisted. Never giving up under the onslaught of Armageddon.
No. Mankind would forever persevere no matter what. Even those who would
dare push their evolution in such a way.
Her task was to infiltrate NERV, become a EVA pilot if necessary and find out
about SEELE. It was not something she was looking forward to. She never liked
deceiving people but it was necessary. The data Washuu had unearthed regarding the
planned Human Instrumentality Project had been enough to set the fear of God on them
all.
That was their primary task. To prevent that from happening.
"Ohayou, Sasami-chan." Hikari greeted cheerfully.
"Ohayou, Horaki-san."
Hikari shook her head. "Iie. Call me Hikari."
Sasami smiled.
"I hope you'll enjoy your stay here, Sasami-chan."
"I sure hope so." Sasami replied.
"You headed for home now?" she asked.
"Hai. I'm just waiting for my umm a friend to come pick me up."
"Well, well, well, what do we have here? If it isn't Ms. Popular." a familiar voice
declared.
Sasami sighed, feeling suddenly short-tempered for some reason. It was quite
unlike her to act like her sister, but it seemed she was, in a way. It seemed that age was
slowly changing her. She hoped to correct this problem in the immediate future.
"Nani?"
Asuka smirked.
"Well, aren't you? I mean, most of the boys are positively drooling over you, my
dear Ms. Jurai." Asuka circled around Sasami, eyeing her critically.
"What is it with you?" Sasami wanted to know. "I did nothing to you, and yet,
you seem to acquire some sort of perverse joy in treating everyone else like dirt. Are you
afraid that no one would notice you if you did not act so arrogantly towards everyone
else??"
Asuka was burning in rage upon hearing that. It had hurt deeply like no other
insult she had ever heard. A part of her cringed at those words, feeling it burn her very
soul with its truth. Asuka's mind reeled at such an admission. Indeed, it was part of the
truth that has driven her this far since her mother's accident. Something that she had in
common with Shinji -- not that she'd ever admit that!!
Asuka smiled.
"Think what you may, but it won't do you any good, Ms. Jurai." She turned to
her best friend. "Ja ne, Hikari."
"No one, it seems, is free from tragedy." Sasami murmured sadly.
Hikari blinked, wondering what Sasami had meant.
==============
"Argh!!! Why the heck do I have to look this way?!!" Asuka complained loudly
at Ritsuko.
She looked up from the clipboard she was examining, smiling at Asuka. "You'll
be needing that configuration as it will protect you from the extreme heat and pressure
that you'll be encountering in the volcano." Ritsuko explained.
"This sucks."
"I know. Still, not everything can be stylish, you know."
Outside, where her radically reconfigured Eva sat -- slumped -- on the wall,
Misato waited to brief the Second Child on her objectives.
"Hmmm making a new fashion statement, Asuka-chan??" Misato asked,
amusedly.
The Second Child looked away, clearly not enjoying her stay in the limelight
right now.
"ARGH!!!"
Misato smiled.
==============
It has been a month since Sasami had begun attending the local high school in
Tokyo-3. Everyone had come to like the cheerful little bundle Sasami represented. Try as
they might, none of the children could ever forget what had happened fifteen years ago.
But Sasami, had given then something to be happy about. To be glad that they were
around to enjoy what life offered them even during these trying times.
Sasami was curious as to what were the angel's intentions. They seemed to want
something that's hidden somewhere with NERV's headquarters underneath Tokyo-3. The
government was pretty silent about this matter.
Sasami was hardly surprised.
Not too many people actually knew angel's existed, much less an invasion of
these angels were in progress. Not that they could be blamed for it. Most of the surviving
population merely want to go on with their lives. To try and forget the calamity that was
the Second Impact.
She was greatly saddened by the tragedies that seem to be part of the lives of
those who worked for NERV. The pilots of the Evangelion units themselves were not
free from it. Each one had something to hide.
Rei, who she truly was.
Shinji, who searched for acceptance even it meant having to pilot an Eva.
Asuka, for her sufferings upon the loss her true mother.
Sasami sighed.
Life was but a tragedy now.
Hell on earth.
An apt description of what this world had become.
Still, for all that's happened, she was proud to see the people of earth struggle to
survive. To carry on the legacy of their people amidst the darkness that threatened to
sallow them whole. No. Humans may have been laid low, but they were not a race to
quite so easily.
Not against anything.
Even the apparent will of God.
She glanced at the rich beauty that was Geo-Front. A world within the confines
of the Earth. Indeed, mankind had built himself a paradise amidst the darkness. A fortress
to guard against what was left of man's world.
Still, perhaps it was fate or destiny that had shaped this event. A test against the
will of man. To see how he would fare against the unknown that was the future. Sasami
was confident that man would survive as they had done countless times in the past couple
of millennia. No matter what the universe threw in man's way, he would persevere and
live on.
Then Washuu had dug up something about the Human Compliment Project.
Sasami's features darkened a little. What they had managed to learn about that
project was enough to force even one such as her to action. None of them had wanted to
interfere. Doing so might make things a lot worse then it already was.
But this ---
Nothing could have moved them to action as this revelation!!!
To allow SEELE to do as they want would end the race of man.
Foolish old men and their desire for power!!
Even now, after all these years, they had yet to piece together the events that
resulted in the Second Impact. The evidences were hardly usable as most of what
remained were melted or made unusable. What hard evidences that could be gathered
were out of their reach.
Until now
Washuu had assured her that she would be chosen as a pilot in due time. When
that time came, then, they could start their plan then. Right now, all they could do was
wait until that happened.
Soon.
Sasami stood up from her seat and left her apartment, leaving a note that to her
roommate and guardian, Kiyone, that she was going out for a bit of a walk.
==============
Sasami marveled at the beauty of it all. Even after looking at it many times in
the past few weeks, she still liked it. Geo Front certainly was an impressive project. Of
course, she knew as well that Geo-Front was, just like the city above it, a place to destroy
Angels.
She walked through the park, enjoying herself.
Sasami looked up to the huge upside down buildings that were Tokyo-3's
monolithic towers. They were normally pulled down whenever an attack was in progress.
Sasami turned her attention to a nearby hilltop where an solitary oak tree stood.
It was your normal oak tree. Its huge trunk shooting up into the sky, proudly
displaying its wealth of leaves that glimmered under the sun that filtered through the city
above.
Curious, Sasami walked up to it, sensing something otherworldly about it.
Standing in front of the colossal tree, Sasami looked at it, trying to divulge the
reasons why this tree seemed special. Something about it radiate an otherworldly aura
that called out to her. Sasami stood there, wondering.
"You feel it don't you?" asked someone.
Sasami whirled around, facing a young woman, perhaps around Misato-san's
age, standing nearby. The wind whipped her platinum-blonde hair. Her clothes were
strangely formal and yet something else. It brought out the coppery highlights of her skin
and flattering her curvaceous form.
Sasami stared at the strange woman for some time, noting as well the strange
marks on her face. It definitely was not tattoo.
*Must be someone starting a fad.* she said to herself.
She mentally shrugged.
It hardly mattered.
But it did, somehow.
"What do you mean by that?" Sasami inquired quietly.
The woman smiled, approaching her.
"The tree. You feel it, don't you? A sense of something otherworldly."
Sasami nodded absently.
The woman smiled once more.
"I thought so. Not too many people left alive to recognize it. Much less care
about it."
"Who are you?" Sasami asked curiously.
"I am Urd. Goddess of the Past and part-time Love Goddess too."
Sasami blinked.
Once.
Twice.
Thrice.
Then, she laughed...
Well, that's the end for my teaser. C&C and stuff are gladly appreciated. Anyone who'd been waiting for me to post Angel's Chronicles will have to wait a month or so. Depending on school life and my abilitiy to get into the proper mood. ^_^
Hope you guys and gals like this one.
And thanks to Oneshot, Jiro Maeda, Craig, and the Zu for helping out in this one.
