[Quick note: Sorry for the bad formatting, please send all problems to
the address above, thank you.]

I have an odd way of looking at things. I picture movies, shows, plays
etc. with another cast member or entire cast. I see how they could be better
and weaker in many aspects. The product? FGH, a "spin-off" of Neon Genesis
Evangelion created by the amazing director Hideaki Anno. This is how it
works. Rather than adding a new character or two, or replacing a character I
just changed the entire story, cast, settings and timeline. HEY GET BACK
HERE!! I SAW YOU LEAVING!! Alright, thats better. So what and how does this
have to do with Evangelion you say? Think of this as a mirror image of NGE.
Don't count the original cast out just yet, they may just decide to show up
sometime. The plot remains somewhat the same (since it is so cool). If you
don't know the plot to NGE I would suggest checking it out on the net first
or better yet, watching the actual show and movies. Anyways, The story is
delivered in a nice episode package, don't expect your Gainax made Eva. This
has more action, more glory, more comedy....Well, maybe a little more
comedy;) Remember understanding a little bit about Eva can go along way with
reading this fic.

gen e sis ( jen'e-sis), n. [pl. -ses (-sez')], [ L. <Gr.],
       1. [G-], the first book of the Old Testament, giving
an account of the creation of the universe. 2. the
coming into the being of anything.

                       IN THE YEAR 2030 AD

The universe has many secrets. The past of it is unknown, as well as it's
future. However exploring the cosmic jigsaw puzzle can help us understand
what was, is, or can be instore for the human race. On this day, a discovery
has been made that holds a major piece to that puzzle.

                    06:45 NSA, March 3, 2030
                   U.S.I. Spacecraft "Victor-9"
                       Crew: Thirty-seven

Inside a heavily guarded chamber lies an incredible find. Only known as
"EVA Unit 01" it takes up a good third of the gigantic chamber. Cable wiring
and state of the art processors analyze the dark violet and neon green
coated monster, all in the deep regions of space. Technicians, scientists
and many other government personnel check and recheck the behemoth. Direct
orders were executed swiftly and correctly. They had trained for this day,
now it was time to prove themselves. Meters away in the ships main bridge
the spacecraft's crew prepared.
"Captain, we have contact with Port Fuda."
"Good. They should be most pleased with our. . . Find."
A smirk slowly emanates across the captain's face. After years of
interstellar travel, cargo hauls and what seemed like endless order after
order of mindless tasks, something revolutionary had come his way. Behind
him an electronic grid displayed the outline of a satellite fed overhead
shot of Japan. A cursor narrowed in on a specific coordinate and large green
text below the image reads

                           RENSHA SHI, JAPAN*

Victor-9 now moves through space stealthily. The suns rays reflect of the
metallic haul of the massive ship. The ship points in the direction of a
very familiar aqua blue, amazon green, cotton white planet.

                                 Earth.

============================================================

Moments later, a very clustered, loud and smoldering inferno of a city is
about to get an unpleasant surprise. On a distant hillside which hides the
massive glimmering metropolis, a overly large sign reads. . .

                           Welcome to Rensha Shi
We hope you enjoy your stay
                     Population: 26 million and rising!

Buses are loaded, cars remain in heavy traffic, and heat rises off the
pavement, just another mourning in the booming city, Rensha Shi, Japan. The

sunrise meets all the commotion of an unrestful city, filled with the worlds
largest skyscrapers, longest bridges and deepest tunnels, two girls,
however, are unaffected by the clatter. The effect can wear off if you give
it some time. One of the girls was tall for her age and had long dark full
hair, she kept it that way, it was one of her best traits. The other had a
slender build with shorter blond hair. The blond was more of a white that
made her look more angelic in a sense, she however never realized this.

"I really wonder why we bother with her." said the dark haired girl,
trying to stir up a conversation.
"Oh you know her, Noami, she just. . .Wait there she is now." The blond
haired girl said in defense. A figure was approaching the pair from behind
at a hastened rate. The figure was yelling something but could not be heard
over the passing motorist. The figure was carrying an object that appeared
to be somewhere along the lines of a school carrying case. The girls both
turned in unison and recognized almost immediately who the figure was.

"What does she have in her mouth, Remi?" questioned the dark haired
girl, Noami Capri, to the blond haired girl, Remi Giya.
"It looks like...Toast?" answered Remi. Sure enough the figure had a
buttered toast flapping in her mouth trying to devour the burnt bread and
run at the same time. The toast itself was quickly dispatched of. As the
figure drew closer, it turned from a small speck in the horizon, to a
youthful girl with dark violet hair that reached just beyond her shoulders.
She was dressed in a full black school uniform, just like that of what Noami
and Remi were currently wearing.

"Waaiiiiitttt." The girl cried out. As she catched up Noami and Remi
looked at each other then at the girl, both with there arms folded.
"Glad you decided that your future was worth making. I swear, Cameron,
if you keep missing school so much the teachers might just bust you back a
grade or two for that matter." Noami said in pure disappointment.

"I can't go through the entire school day hungry, can I?" the girl,
Cameron Callawei, chirped in a sweet voice. The conversation continued as
the girls picked up the pace and began to walk toward there junior high. The
sky was clear and blue, not a cloud in sight. The urban area was an odd
site. It had buildings, six lane streets, wide sidewalks and saplings that
lined up toward the sidewalk. People crowded together, which from a elevated
view would look something like a colony of worker ants in a frenzied panic.
The saplings gave way to older trees and the walk now became less condensed
as the girls journeyed on. Cameron enjoyed the mourning walks, especially
because of the cute wildlife that could be seen on the way to school, which
needless to say, had no cute wildlife, only boys with bad acne, girls that
wore to much skin lotion and teachers that often smelled funny.

"The animals sure are making a racket today." Cameron noticed. Truth to
tell, the animals were making what seemed more like a chaotic series of
hoots and chirps rather than just a simple racket. As Cameron took her next
step everything became silent. The three looked around in confusement.

"What?" Noami said more to herself then to the others. As if somehow
triggered by the girls discovery a sound of thunder ripped open the silence.

"A storm?" Remi questioned. Without warning the emergency alarm system
activated. High pitched sirens blared into the air and the unmistakable
sound of VTOLs* were heard.

"Not another drill..." Cameron sighed, doubting that this was an
emergency of any kind. The girls headed toward the nearest shelter which was
well programmed into the girls minds. The city officials often held
unpredictable drills that every citizen, from commuters to business types to
loafers in the alleys had to follow. On the way the girls saw armed forces
beginning to direct traffic, taking over the local law enforcement's
positions. Double cannoned walker tanks which had the alias of Red Gorillas,
filled the streets. Remi often liked to call them "Red Roaches" because they
looked like large metallic insects, each tank having six huge bulky legs to
maneuver with. Then a freak incident occurred. One of the tanks smacked a
parked car onto its side in order for it and its fellow Gorilla's to pass.
The car lay on its side crumpled, smoldering and dripping antifreeze.

"Some drill." Noami muttered. The girls began to run to the shelter,
however Cameron noticed something and stopped dead in her tracks. The sky
itself was beginning to change to a red like tint. While she had stopped,
the other two girls had already crossed an intersection and a had not
noticed that Cameron had not followed. They turned back to see her staring
up at the sky.

"Cameron, hurry up!" Remi shouted grabbing Cameron's attention. However
much to the girls dismay a platoon of assault vehicles began to cross the
intersection and blocked the way and most of the view.

"Go on, I will catch up." Cameron shouted back. At least she hoped she
could catch up.
"Just hurry." Remi called over the large trucks and semi's. With that
the girls continued on, leaving Cameron alone. The sky was filled with what
almost now looked like flames. The town glistened a bright red. Car after
car rear ended and clashed with each other. Cameron swallowed hard. She
looked at her hands and they began to glow with red. Civilians began to
panic and rampaged down the sidewalk for shelter. Cameron swiftly moved to
another, more emptier street.

"Where do I go from here?" she began to think but was cut-off by the
shriek of a white sports car that pulled up beside her. The drivers side
window was electronically rolled down and inside revealed a young man
wearing a trench coat.

"Cameron? Cameron Callawei??" The man said looking Cameron up and down.
"Yes...Thats me." replied Cameron. She was very offset by the current
events and wondered if this was a dream. She had began to hope it was a
dream.
"Your presence is requested." The man pulled out his wallet and inside
one of the pockets official looking plastic card that had his portrait and
across of it read in dark blue print

                                ========
                                   MYTH
                                ========

"What do you need me for?" Cameron did not trust the man. He was
wearing dark shades, rode a fast car and had an I.D. that could have been
fake or forged. This was the kind of man Cameron was told to stay away from.

"Please we don't have much time." The man took off his shades revealing
a more trustful soul. He had a slender face and bright features. A low
crackle was heard from the sky and the two looked upward. Dark red clouds
blanketed the city and only a few rays of sunlight could be seen. The clouds
began to form into a clockwise swirl in a particular spot. As the two
looked on a vacant commuter bus lifted up off the street with a swift
whooshing sound and stayed in mid-air for several seconds. After the mid-air
flight, the bus crashed into a nearby buildings lobby. The bus skidded on
the marble floor leaving sparks to fly. Once it lost momentum, the bus
bumped lightly into an information desk a good 300 km from where it had been
parked. All that was left was a broken entrance, shattered shards of glass
everywhere and the smell of burnt rubber leaving the newly met pair stunned.

The man quickly greeted himself "My name is Major Ryosei Honda. Care for
a ride?"
"Sounds good to me." Cameron replied as if in reaction. She climbed
into the low seated car without any hesitation. The car seemed to be
somewhat advanced. Cameron had never seen a vehicle with so many gauges. The
dash board was cluttered with them and reminded her of a jets cockpit more
than a cars inside.

"Buckle up." Ryosei said in a much dislocated voice.
"Right." Cameron reached for the belt buckle but was jolted back into
her seat as Ryosei punched the gas. The car sped away instantly leaving tire
tracks in the pavement. Cameron now realized this was not a dream.

===========================================================

Deep below in a busy military based command center voices cluttered the
intercom.
    "Target at 200 meters."
"Redline crossed, initializing first strike team."
    "Aerial support in 5."
    "Red leader in position."
    "Blue leader ready."
    "Black leader ready."
"Roger, Sir the first assault brigade is ready and holding."
Three men sit upon a tall podium overseeing the chaos. Below, a dark
featured man wearing black and white camouflage gear and a eye patch on his
right eye along with an older woman that wore the black and white military
gear along with a clean white beret. The two stood in place watching the
centers main control screen. Minutes pass and then the woman decided to
speak up.

"This is odd, the residents of this city have gone over drills in the
past with ease. Why now do they create this lunacy?" The man was silent for
a moment then replies in an amused voice but in also concerned tone, "They
did not expect a sky of fire."

==============================================================
FALLEN GENESIS HUNTERS 0:1 SKY OF FIRE
==============================================================

"May I please ask what is going on?" Cameron spoke in an annoyed voice.
"Just watch the sky" Ryosei continued to glare at the road carefully.
Cameron peered out the window. The sky had calmed down. The spot in the
clouds, however was very wide and c ontained no clouds. It almost looked
like
an opening for something. Yards away from the passing sports car a soldier
looked at his teammates and then back up at the sky. Everyone had become
silent with awe. The spot in the clouds then began to part around the middle
of the city, making a very beautiful glowing effect. A slight rumble on the
ground began. What looked as if death had took on a form began to slowly
fall to the ground. It landed with a large, deafing impact.
The size of it rivaled some of the largest buildings in the entire city.
The body of the creature looked like it was made of bones. The "bones" were
decayed and yellowish with a few dark croded black areas. Gigantic spikes
emitted from its back. The rib cage was transparent, wide and muscular.
However the reptilian like bone shaped feet, horrifying claws, two extra
appendages, one with a sickle shaped hand and dragon shaped head with horns
and fangs is what truly made the creature demon-like. The monster then
turned its head upward and roared. In the operations center the crew waited
for the three officials to give the command.

"Go to war." The Grey haired man in the middle said dryly.
The loud discharge of cannon fire echoed through the now empty city.
Surface to air missiles streamed toward the target. Every kind of method was
being used to take the monstrosity down. The clanging of shells hitting the
ground accompanied by the smell of gun smoke only accelerated the soldiers
below like some kind of drug.

     "Begin aerial assault."
"Roger, you are good to go team dragon."
     "Ok men, lets get some."
Two dozen 4-type Copters launched off the landing zone, which was
situated on a hill that surrounded the city, moved toward the designated
target.
"What are we looking for." Questioned a teammate.
"See those explosions to your left?" replied the captain.
     "Yeah, of course."
     "See that yellow moving building?"
     "Yesss..."
     "That is NOT a building."
     "Holy!"

An onslaught upon the target was now in full motion. Aerial units swarmed
around it like an angry hornets nest. Ground units discharged shell after
shell of ammo. The ammunition seemed to have an odd effect. It was aimed at
the target but only created a blue orb to appear with each hit, that
encircled around the creature. Then one after one the forces began to
realize that this target was special. It had a defensive force field. The
creature itself was planted into a spot and began to swat down the forces.
The flurry of giant limbs and massive talons wiped out numerous units. The
bad news came to the command center only moments after the signal was given.

     "Negative effect."
     "It's too fast"
"Red nine hit, repeat red nine is hit."

Cameron was clinging to her seat trying to make since of this. Was this a
hoax? No. Was this real? Of coarse. . .Not? The white car streaked down the
empty street full of abandoned cars and debris. On the sidewalk a downed
VTOL could be seen. Fire consumed one of the pilots as he stumbled outward
screaming something to the effect of "PUT ME OUT!! PUT ME OUT!!!" This was
all to much for Cameron.

     "You seem confused." Ryosei noticed.
"Lets see." Cameron paused and then started to speak again.
"A giant Godzilla-like creature that look like some pumped up grim
reaper is trashing my home town, I am riding with a full and complete
stranger, and I just wet my skirt five minutes ago! Yeah this may be
somewhat confusing!" Cameron replied along with a much annoyed facial
expression.
"You didn't get any on the seat did you?!?" Ryosei glanced around
Cameron then back at the road. Cameron then stared at the man in the trench
coat. Why the hell was he so calm?
"WHY THE HELL ARE YOU SO CALM!!"

"This all will make since soon." Ryosei had reassured over and over
again. The car then hit a large bump in the street. The car lurched forward
then back.

"Where did that come from?" Ryosei looked out the windshield. What he
had seen did not please him. A large skyscraper to the left of the car was
losing its foundation and beginning to topple straight down onto the street.
There was a problem was the car was ON that part of the street. Cameron also
noticed this as well.

"Go!! Go now!! Must go now!!"
"I was thinking the same thing." With that Ryosei jumped into action.
The car was underneath the deep shadow of the descending building. The tires
thrusted into maximum speed. The ground was being pummeled with huge chunks
of glass, stone and whatnot. Debris hit and cracked the windshield in
several
spots. Then there was Cameron.

    "AAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH!!"
"Cameron would you please calm down."
    "EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!"
After moments that seemed like hours of suspense the car cleared the
endangered area. A half a second later the impact of the skyscraper could be
heard.

"Haha! We made it!" Ryosei cheered on. He loved his job.
"Yeah but what do plan to do about that." Cameron pointed at another
larger building. It was repeating what the previous building had just done.
He hated his job.
"I.." Ryosei pulled the car into reverse.
"Just.." Leaned over the drivers side seat, glanced backward.
     "Can't.." Gritted his teeth. Hard.
"Win.." And slammed down on the gas pedal. The car missed a second
smashing by near inches. It skidded to its side and stopped.
"So. . .How do you like the ride so far?" Cameron only gave Ryosei an
exhausted look.

========================================================================

Later in the overtaken command center.
"Why will that demon die!?!" An official looked on, disgruntled by the
fact that in all the years of service he had seen destruction that killed
off everything. Anything. Now, that very destruction had no effect on the
being that was currently ripping the uppercity to shreds.

"It is not a demon, it is an angel." The man with the eye patch
corrected.
"Callawei you are really testing us." The head official warned.
"We must move to our last option." Another official spoke.
"No, it is too soon! Just wait. Conventional weapons CAN defeat it!" An
officer below the podium protested. The head official sighed and started to
make his point.

"If that were true then it would have already been killed off. Order
the final ARC." The head official made clear that this was the only way
now. The crew then hesitated and sent the message to Halo one. Halo one was
a flying contraption of death. Designed from genius around the world, it had
one purpose and one purpose only. To carry the T3*.
"Copy, Halo one you are good to go." With that the sleek aircraft rose
from the ground and went straight into mach 3.

==============================================================

"Perfect, just perfect." Cameron slid outside of the car. The white
sports car was now surrounded by downed buildings. The two that had fallen
on the street blocked the West and East. Two skyscrapers still standing on
the North and South sides made a large enclosed trap for the car.

"We can get air lifted out of here." Ryosei reassured as he punched in
some numbers on his PHS car phone. Some static was breaking up the call but
it did not bother Ryosei to the least.

     "This is agent 1984-7-9."
"Roger falcon, do you have the egg?" Ryosei stalled for a moment. It
was a good thing he had found Cameron when he did. If not headquarters would
leave him for dead. They did not tolerate failure of any kind. In a
situation like this, neither would he.

"Yes I have the egg. I need carrier support, coordinates are sector
four... Uuuhhhh... Yeah sector four, area five." Ryosei was not familiar
with the coordinates of the city yet. He had moved to Rensha only a few days
before. When he had arrived, the city turned out to be more then what he had
hoped for. Now it turned out to be much more.

"Negative falcon. An ARC has been ordered on those coordinates. Evac
from that area now." Fear went directly into Ryosei's stomach.
Dear god... An ARC?.. What are they thinking. . . Ryosei thought to
himself. "What buildings are in that sector?" This could just be a mistake
made by the ditzy girl that he was talking to. He hoped to God it was a
mistake. The operator was silent for a moment then started to talk.
"...Goji Corp..." Ryosei swiftly turned to see the buildings
surrounding him, they read

                              GOJI INCORPORATED

      "...Western heating & cooling.."

                              WESTERN INC.

      "...AACL Repair international.."

                              AACL SERVICE CENTER

      "...Technical preparation office..."

                              TECH CO.

"Meaning??" Ryosei could taste what was coming next.
"You are at ground zero, falcon." The girl on the other end replied in
a worried gasp. Thoughts raced through Ryosei's mind like nobodies business.

"That makes no since, the target is not here. . ." With that a tremor
impacted the ground. Ryosei almost lost his footing but regained his
balance. A claw turned the corner of the Western Inc. building, followed by
the rest of the creatures/angels body.

"Cameron get in the car! NOW!" Cameron remained still, frozen in her
place from the purest of all fears. The Angel moved slowly and gauntly over
the fallen building. Ryosei pushed Cameron into the car slammed the door
behind her and repeated the same action to himself. Inside the car Ryosei
could hear the deep, rapid breathing of Cameron. Another tremor hit the
ground and rocked the car. The angel noticed the white object underneath
itself. It lowered its dragon like head and let out a grotesque snort. Venom
began to secrete from its jaw and fell upon the cars roof. The two looked on
as the roof of the car began to create a sizzling noise. Ryosei lifted up
what to Cameron had looked like an arm rest. The arm rest flipped over and
revealed some levers and controls. Ryosei pulled back the lever closest to
him. The wheels of the car clanked and unleashed spikes that dug into the
ground. The purpose was to keep the car stationary incase of bad rainfall or
mudslides.
"This must be a company car." Cameron tried to joke.

Overhead halo one had received clearance to fire on the target.
     "ID inbound."
     "Master arm checked."
     "T3 selected."
"Shoot cue locked." The pilot knew this was the moment, can this work?
He knew it would.
"T3 away!" Confirmed the pilot. The somewhat fat looking missile
streaked toward the Angel. The Angel heard the shrieking of the missile
ripping through the sky and looked up just in time for the missile to make
direct contact with its face. A burst of light showered the car below.
Ryosei shielded Cameron's eyes. After the bright light had gone away he
removed his hands. Cameron still held her eyes tight whispering something.

"Don't worry, armored plating." Cameron opened her eyes. Flames still
engulfed the car and made one amazing site. As the flames splashed against
the five inch thick windshield it produced a spectacular show for the two
onlookers. The car started to rock but remained in place.
Those spikes came in handy after all. A full minute of loud thunder and
smoke passed and everything again became clear. The car was now in a huge
crater made by the T3. A cargo chopper later arrived and loaded the sports
car onto itself. Cameron looked onto the angel as the chopper lifted off.

"Is it dead?" Cameron saw that most of the creature was burnt but
still intact. One of the crew members just shook his head in disbelief.

============================================================

"What do you mean it is still alive!?"
"Life signs are low but still constant." The officials sat down and
realized they were now defeated. They had dispensed all they could it was
time to move to there second and final option.

"Alright Callawei, it is your turn. Full command of the operation has
been turned over to you. Prove us wrong." The podium lowered into the bottom
level and the officials left. Leaving the man with the eye patch in charge
of the centers massive crew.

"That will not be difficult." The woman remained still then woke up
from her daze noticed the control screen now just showed static.
"The entire Eastern forces are annihilated, what are you going to do?"

       The man replied "My job."

===========================================================

After a quick and noisy ride, the chopper landed on a skyscrapers
helipad, the building was lucky enough to avoid the angels reign of
destruction. Cameron started to move off of her stiff chopper seat and climb
out when Ryosei grabbed her arm to stop her. The pad made a clanking sound
and then began to lower into the building itself. A deep red light seeped
into the chopper and an automated voice began to speak.

"What is this?" Along the walls of the building red lights streaked by
the chopper as it lowered deeper and deeper. Symbols of three burning
candles all of which were cut at a 45 degree angle occasionally could be
seen on a wall next to the lift that was lowering the chopper. Underneath
the candles read in deep blue letters...
