"Uh, yeah," says Ranma nervously. "We're gonna be late for class.
C'mon, Akane!" He seizes my hand and dashes into the building.
The 1st-person perspective is actually appropriate here.
Akane is important to Ranma.
Strong prose. Short and sweet. Take notes, people.
Akane points a shaky finger at him. "You see? You see what he does?
No matter what I do, it's always the same thing. I'm 'shy,' or I'm
'hiding my feelings' or something idiotic like that. It's not even
'someday you'll change your mind;' he acts like I _already_ love him.
Well, I don't. I don't, and I never will. Maybe you can explain that
to him, because I can't."
Sigh. Akane never expresses any dislike for Kunou, and, to the contrary,
regularly uses polite language when talking to or about him, and
addresses him respectfully. She never tells him to leave her alone.
I must mourn my brother, who has fallen into madness.
The Kunous aren't 'mad'. But I guess I'm talking to myself, since this
strange view of the original characters has pretty much become
fan-canon.
I'm going to reserve my judgment that nothing happens in this fic
because this is the only chapter I've read.
