Hmmm... couple more thoughts hit after I sent off my last note:
Are the Tendo sisters the same, personality-wise? I would think that being
male part of the time would have an influence on them. How big of a change
tho...
You might want Soun to be female for most of the intro. Given how excited
he gets over just about anything, it seems unlikely that he would be Male.
Unless he's male because he *is* excited.
How does Futaba know what he knows? You said (in a reply I think) that he
was raised by the Tendos because his father was actively pursuing an idol
singer career and his mother was dead. When did this happen? Ie. if it was
early on he shouldn't know Misaki (at least, not that well), have attended
his old school, or use a martial art other than anything goes. If it was
reciently, as in part way through/post FKC, why did he move in with the
Tendos instead of just living at home?
A little more support as to why Nabiki pawns Ranma off on Akane would be
nice. In the original, she was the most open-minded and enthusiastic about
the arrangement, and then was the most vocally disapointed when Ranma turned
out to be a 'girl'. Here, finding out that Ranma is either a girl or like
them would be a plus rather than a minus. Given that the house and dojo
will still (probably) go to whoever marries Ranma, he certainly has enough
'wealth' to attract her attention. And she does think he's cute...
Even if Nabiki is the one he starts off as being engaged to, that doesn't
mean that he'll end up with her. So it won't (necessarily) screw up you
desire for an Akane-Ranma matchup.
