Mech slayers part 8 
Sento [War]

	Dan walked along the trail away from the city, he looked at the
strange yet familiar alien land scape. "It's not all that different from
earth." he commented. He thought back to the city again, it was a strange
place to him. He had seen many familiar things there, they had
electricity and plumbing, he had even seen a plane fly over while he was
there, the design on it was strange and some what crude. Also he noted
something else odd. There were no cars, or anything like them. The air
was pollution free, it was as if they had no combustion engines or
Industry. But he had seen manufactured goods as well. It was sort of
strange to him. He also had yet to see any fire arms. Dan mused on the
strange world for some time. Every soldier had some sort of weapon on
him, a knife, a bo, short staves, Nunchaku, and swords, but no guns.
"This place...is weird." he finally concluded.
	
	A few hours later Dan walked through a forest as the road cut
through it. He soon became aware that he was not alone. Something was
with him. "I'm surrounded." he said looking around. In the spaces between
the trees he saw camouflaged tents, thousands of them. Men emerged from
them with weapons drawn. Dan was in the middle of an military camp.
"Shit." he muttered. From a very large tent nearby a man emerged with a
huge grin on his face. He had long white flowing hair and was dressed in
rich purple robes. He pulled a great sword from his side, the blade began
to glow white. 
	"You should pay attention to where your walking stranger." he
said with a smile. "Oh, my it looks like we've caught ourselves a
prince." the man said looking Dan up and down.
	"I'm not the prince." said Dan with a frown.
	The tall man frowned "Then tell us who you are." he said
bitterly.
	Dan smiled. "If I gave you my name...You'd get it dirty." he said
dispite the warning in his mind. 
	Dan glanced around and noticed a hole in the men surrounding him,
he bolted for it. The men gasped as Dan seemed to disappear from the
middle of the circle. The tall man vanished with a smile on his face.
	Dan reached the gap only to be thrown back twenty feet into a
tree, the tree groaned and collapsed. The tall man stood where the hole
had once been and looked down at him his arm was extended in the punch
still and a white aura flowed around his hand. "I am called Gall, and you
are dead, boy." said the man with an evil smile.
	Dan rose to his feet and rubbed his chest where the blow had
struck. Gall's smile disappeared. "Impossible." he said quietly. 
	Dan pulled his boken from his back and pointed it offensively at
Gall. "I gotta get out of here." he thought. 
	Gall rushed him at what to the men would be an inhuman speed. He
swung at Dan who dodged and struck him in the chest sending Gall reeling
back ten feet. Dan charged at Gall and slashed at him with the boken.
Gall barely avoided the strikes. He growled and stuck his arm out, a
blast of energy shot from his arm and hit Dan in the side. Dan faltered
for a moment and fell to his knees. "That hurt." he thought angrily.
	Gall began spinning around him at an incredible rate. Dan thought
for a moment. "Ye, gods I can't tell which is the real Gall!" said one of
the spectating soldiers.
	Gall smiled and raised his hand causing a blast to build up in it
again. Dan sidestepped the blast and ran up to him keeping up the pace as
the pair spun around. "Say...are you wearing lipstick?" said Dan as he
looked at Gall's face. Gal yelled in rage and hit him away with a
backhanded strike. Dan pulled himself from a fallen tree yet again. He
stood shakily. 
	Gall smiled yet again. His smile was yet again short lived. Dan
looked at him with a small grin. "My god! This man is wearing lipstick!"
he cried in mock surprise.
	"Now you die!" Gall cried angrily shooting several of the white
balls at Dan once again. Dan jumped twenty feet into the air and landed
behind them. They exploded behind him leaving several dead soldiers and
trees in their wake.  Dan staggered up to Gall with his hand behind his
back. "A gift for you." he said and showed Gall what was behind him. Gall
gasped and backed away. In Dan's hand was a chi ball the size of a soccer
ball. It exploded sending Gall flying away and creating a blinding flash
of light. The men surrounding Dan covered their eyes defensively. When
the blast cleared Dan was gone and Gall was embedded in a tree twenty
yards away. Gall looked at his surroundings and cried out in Rage.
	
	"So that was the famous Gall. Not near as powerful as I thought."
said the Young ninja as she lept down from her perch in a tree nearby.
"The mysterious warriors swordsmanship is unbelievable." she commented as
she walked to find him again. "I'll have to be more cautious." thought to
herself.
	"Well look at what we found." said a voice from behind her. Three
soldiers emerged from their places in the bushes and walked towards her.
The girl frowned and turned sharply. She smiled as she looked at them.
They still had the stupid grins on their faces. The men saw her smile and
their grins widened. Then they disappeared and they grabbed for their
throats. Blood began to pour from the small holes that had appeared. The
men fell to their knees making gurgling noises as they choked to death on
their own blood. The ninja girl smiled and fanned three more of the small
flat darts in her fingers.  She turned and replaced them in her robes and
walked away to find her prey.
	
	Dan stopped running and collapsed in pain and exhaustion. "He was
strong." he thought as he tried to catch his breath. He touched the burn
on his side carefully. "I almost didn't make it out of that one." he
commented dryly. He sat up and thought. "Now what?" he said aloud. He
already knew what he had to do. He rested for a moment and got to his
feet. He turned and began to walk towards his destination.

	A few day's later...
	
	Commander Alek Hunter stood on the ridge and watched the field,
Gall's forces had yet to try to breach the defensive barrier his men had
created along the roads to Sambika. One of the men ran up to him and
saluted sharply. The young boy tried to catch his breath. "S..s sir!" he
said desperately. The look in his eyes told Hunter that the news would
not be good. "Sambika is under attack! Gall and his forces approached
from the east! They destroyed Commander Sanders forces with a giant!"
said the boy.
	"What?!" said Hunter. "Get the men up we march in five minutes!"
he yelled. "I only hope we can make it in time. Where is the prince?" 

	Gall smiled as the giant mech crashed through the walls of the
city, It easily crushed the defenses placed their. It walked and raised
its arm. The gun roared with multiple shots, and a building collapsed.
The men rushed into the city. The palace was the first to fall with the
Mech's help they were able to enter the city only Yards away from it at
the cities most heavily defended point.
	"Protect the Queen!" echoed from the mouths of palace guards as
they were over come by the swarms of men who poured in from the palace
gates. 
	The queen stood from her seat in the throne as the men poured
into the palace. She watched as her guard were easily over come. "I
demand that you stop this at..." it was as far as she got as a spear
impaled her on her throne. She screamed for a moment and then fell
silent. The royal court was easily cleaned up after that. Gall waltzed
into the room with a maniacal grin on his face.
	 "Where is the young princess?" he asked after looking around at
the bodies for a few moments. Occasionally he would turn one over with a
kick to get a better look.
	 "She was not present." said one of the men as he kneeled before
Gall respectfully. 
	Gall frowned and blasted the man with a casual energy bolt. He
was reduced to ashes. "I can see that fool." he said calmly. "Find her
and kill her." he said to the men surrounding him.

	Fourteen year old Princess Miza ran down the halls of the palace.
Guards flanked her and tried desperately for any way to escape. The Akama
forces pushed them ever higher into the palace. Finally they reached the
king and queens bed chambers, the highest room in the palace. The Akama
men entered and they fought desperately eventually being backed into the
long balcony that overlooked the city. Miza watched as the men sent to
protect her were slaughtered mercilessly before her.
	
	Dan walked through the chaotic streets of Sambika grimily. He
stood at the foot of the palace. He looked at the city. "It seems I'm to
late to warn them." he said to no one. A large mech crashed through the
streets blasting with a ridiculously oversized machine gun. Above him he
saw a small body being thrown off the edge of a balcony high above. He
made a dicision, he ran.

	Princess Miza felt herself free fall off the edge of the balcony.
I hope it doesn't hurt too much." she thought as she saw the ground
rushing up to her. She closed her eyes.

	Malkiyor, Balthazar and Caspar fought desperately on the streets
against the Akama forces. It looked hopeless. More men came from the
gates and they resigned to their fate. "We will take as many of them with
us as we can." said Malkior. The other two nodded. On the horizon out
side the city more men appeared, their spears and swords held high. They
charged.
	
	Dan felt the wind on his face as he ran, his heart raced. He
pushed himself in a jump and began to fall. "I have never turned my back
before I'm not about to start now." he said as he felt the ground rush to
him. He reached his arms out.

	Miza closed her eyes, the late Dr. Kiman said it would take a
full minute to reach the ground from the top of the castle. She wondered
how much time had passed. She felt arms around her she opened her eyes.
Someone in a black cloak had her in his arms. "Death?" she wondered. He
manuvered them back so that they were almost touching the wall. With that
his hood blew off and he planted his feet against the steadily curving
wall. Their fall slowed. She looked at the man's face and gasped. She
grabbed his neck tighter as the man skillfully prevented them from just
bouncing off the wall and flipping into the air. "Brother?" she said in
shock. They hit the ground and rolled several feet until they finally
stopped. The man looked at her with his pearcing eyes. 
	"You OK?" he asked.
	The girl's eyes went wide. "Brother?" she asked again.
	The man smiled. "No young one, but I have been told I look allot
like him." said the man. The fighting around them had stopped. The once
screaming residents watched in awe. The man had Just ran up the side of
the palace and caught the falling princess in mid air. 
	Dan turned to see the three men he had met in his earlier visit
to the town. "Hello, you three think you can get her out of the city?" He
asked with his boken drawn. The men the three had been fighting backed
away, some running in terror. 
	"Y-yea." stuttered Caspar taking the princess by the arm. The
three men ran towards the now empty hole in the wall that the mech had
created. They ran to see the army advancing towards them. 
	"Shit forgot about them." said Malkior.
	"Look!" cried Balthazar as he pointed at them. Leading the army
was the flag of the King, the emblem of Josei.
	"It's about time." sighed Malkior in relief.
TbC.....

	Think things are going well? Don't forget that we still have a
crazed sorcerer and a giant Mech crashing around. The battle is far form
over. We'll have fun with that one I bet. At any rate we still have to
deal with our lost little friends in the woods, and what ever is stalking
them. What is it? I'll say one thing it sure isn't a cute little animal
that the cast will take as a pet. I garentee you won't see one of those
in this story. Those things piss me off. Kinda like Democrats.....
