Other people have done some detail work on this, so I'll just add a
couple of general comments.
You might try putting your narration of each scene into a more definite
point of view. Describing things as a particular person in the story
sees them is a good way to establish characterization, which is crucial
when you have a bunch of new people in the story.
You might want to play up Ranma's impending meeting with the unknown
challenger a bit more... maybe mention it earlier in the teaser, and
have him thinking about how odd it is because no one has challenged him
in so long. This part of the story is the one most likely to generate
some suspense, which is what will hold readers' attention IMO.
