There seems to be a universal misunderstanding of the term
'continuation'. When I used the term to describe a certain type of fic
(such as Shampoo 1/2), I am referring to a fic that never ends, or a
 'never-ending fic'

For once, I agree with Kuno here about 'never-ending' fics; I spend
more of my reading time on stuff I download from the UBC mirror
because at least the stories are finished. I'm still mad at Hitomi
Ichinohei for writing a bunch of great stories ("A Son's Duty," "Ranko's
Life" to name but two) and then *stopping* halfway through, leaving
her readers hanging! <insert Skuld-like scream of frustration>

In any case, my dear Kuno-chan, you might do well to refer to
"to be continued" fics... or just "continued," for short. There is a
feel of watching a television show, and realizing you have to tune
in next time to find out what happens. And (frighteningly enough)
that can be an annoying experience. (Why d'ya think I try to stick
to shortfics? My attention span's just as bad as a writer)

I realize, Alan-kun, your story's still a work-in-progress (hey, I've got
a whole *page* of unfinished fics on my webpage, myself), and I
really enjoyed volume 22 ('course, I'm a big Konatsu fan, as y'all know),
but I gotta admit, I feel like I'm jumping into the middle of a conversation
that started a looooong time ago; and what with all this mail, I dunno
if I've got the time to dig up all the old chapters and go through 'em.
Don't wanna leave 'Natsu-chan in the kitchen alone too long, after all ^_~

Oh, boy... now I'M ranting. I keep wanting to make peace out here
by doing something other than ducking and covering (too much like
Kasumi-chan, after all), but a spatula's an offensive weapon. I'll shut up
while I'm still lucid.

Itsu mo,
Ucchan ^_^

(who wishes others would follow suit with that last sentance --
oops, there I go again
