I thought this up as a whim. It is the blueprint
for Ranma to fulfill all of his (and others')
obligations while making EVERYBODY unhappy. ^_^
Same here...
What? How many of you out there want to make EVERYBODY unhappy? ;)
1) The Tendos adopt Shampoo.
Of course, Shampoo could conveniently 'not recognize Japanese laws and
customs' as the others (ie, Ranma) have done toward her Amazon law, and
ignore this entirely.
2) Nabiki and Yuka (She's a computer hacker at heart, I can tell) hack
into a government computer and create Ranma Saotome, a sixteen(or
older,
depending) year-old girl.
I'm not sure that would help much in the long-run.
3) Ranma, as a guy, marries Shampoo Tendo.
If Shampoo got adopted, she can't marry Ranma, can she? I've heard of
cases where a family with only daughters who want a son to carry on the
family would adopt a son to carry on the name (because the adopted would
take on the family's name), and then marry him to a daughter?!
Someone want to clear this up for me? (and, mind you, I HAVE done my
homework on this, it's just that this little point isn't really clear to
me; I've always imagined this is what would happen if Kasumi and Tofu
ever got together, provided that Soun cared about that kind of stuff,
which he might).
And besides, if Ranma married Shampoo (which is something he wouldn't
do willingly), what about AKANE?
4) Ranma, as a girl, marries Ukyo. Who is legally a guy.
The idea that Ukyo is 'legally a guy' is a fan conception (up there
with Passion Spice and Mrs. Tendo's real name...). Nowhere in the manga
is this even suggested (and no, we won't discuss the fact that she went
to an All-Boys school, please? That's a thread in of itself...).
There now, that wasn't too hard was it? ^_^
Too bad I just can't fit Ko-chan in there. Ah well...
Ranma couldn't give a rat's ass about Kodachi. She'd probably not be
in the equation AT ALL, the way he thinks of her.
