Hinako woke with a start, her dream shattered as a pile of books

down next to her head, which had been lying on the desk.

I'm really puzzled by the opening sequence.  It doesn't seem part of 
this story at all.  It's not Hinako's dream at least not directly, since 
it isn't written from her perspective or point of view.  It's as if it's 
the start of a different fic.

Well, if it HAD of been from her perspective, then you wouldn't get much
of what went on. ^_~

But, basically, it's a little intro, from the manga, to introduce Hinako
to people who may not have seen her before. Quick explanation of what she
is (teacher at the school) and why she was asked to be a teacher there.
Didn't go into the adult-child thing much, but it gives a little info as
she's a child in the 'dream' and an adult later on, which explains why she
is actually a teacher. ^_^
