Continuation fics get deleted because they have, by nature, no point. A
writer who writes a continuation fic really isn't writing a fanfic, he's
engaging in mental masturbation; feels good, but is ultimately
pointless.
Wot, like writing _your_ ideal of fanfics isn't pointless?
We're not getting paid, here. We're using up time that could be
put toward making money. We could be out with friends, spending that
money. We could be out with that special someone, watching them spend that
money. Et cetera, et cetera, et cetera. So tell me, how does writing a
within-continuity fanfic have more of a point?
And yet...and yet, we write anyway. I write anyway. Partly for
recognition, partly for mental exercise, but mostly just for myself. I do
it 'cos I want to do it. Yes?
I'd tell you to bugger off, but it does no good. 'Sides, until you
breach some sort of rule here, you have the right to speak.
