A single, unshaded light bulb hangs from a raw wire outlet in an almost
empty, run-down room. The room is very old; cracked plaster hangs on
the dingy, once white walls.

Entering, you see a man sits tied to a wooden Captains chair in the
center of the room. His head is loolling forward in exhaustion.
Hearing a noise, he looks up.

"They said you'd be here," he says without any emotion. As if reading
from a script, he begins,"I promise to never directly go against the
manga stories ever again."

"Okay, I apologized, will you let me go now? I've even rewritten the
Musk scene so that it fits into canon! I did!" A hopeful look crosses
his face, before you trun to leave.

"No, come back! You don't know what they've been making me watch!"

Leaving, you see a television set and a vcr next to the door. Scattered
video tapes lie on
the floor. You pause and read a few of the titles: "Min-Mei's Greatest
Hits" - volumes 1 trough 5, "Directioneering - The Hibiki Way",
"Min-Mei Sings Streisand", "Slim Whitman and Min-Mei, A Duet Made in
Heaven", "Tatewaki Kunou, The Man, The Legend, The Hero - In His Own
Words."

Shivering a little at the inhumanity of the Takahashi Canonical Police,
you leave the room hoping that they never find you.

"Help me! Come back!"

*******

Seriously folks, I need to apologize for a very GLARING mistake I made
in the use of the Musk people. One of my pre-readers even told me of
it, before I posted. Jiro, I will listen next time, I promise.

The mistake I made was in allowing that the Musk still used the Spring
of Drwoned Woan as a means for getting brides. As it was pointed out to
me, That is not done by the modern Musk. So, I've changed that scene
enough to now fit within canon. After a few more changes, I will be
re-posting Alternatives -- Chapter 8.

Ja ne,

Mike Allen
Who never wants to hear "People Who Need People" ever again.
