Let's see, conventions I've tried to start:
Ranma 1/2:
Akane's mallet as a ki attack. (Other authors have ventured that it's
something about Ranma that lets her tag him whenever insulted.)
The Akaneniichuan causes a psychic link with Akane or will freeze her
age. (One does need to ask why the Bird lady didn't simply let Akane
drown though...)
Curses are matched to the recipient's nature. (Rather than simply
being a literary technique to assign the curses to reflect a
character's nature.)
Akane is a lesbian who lusts after onna-Ranma. (Other authors have
suggested this for Nabiki.)
Any teenage martial artist who loses their mother will fall in love
with Ranma. (Ranma has been chased by a few people who haven't lost
their mothers.)
Urusei Yatsura:
Lum is grooming Ataru for Oni Warlord. (She's always wished for a
simple happy home with Darling, not galactic domination.)
Benten and Oyuki are openly involved. (If they are, then they're very
discreet about it, to the extent that even Lum and Ran aren't really
sure.)
Ran is an energy vampire. (She doesn't seem to gain anything from
zapping others.)
Ah! Megamisama!:
Holy Skuld, daughter of Kamisama. (This is one secret that the
goddesses surely wouldn't keep.)
Skuld is Keiichi's and Belldandy's daughter. (Even less likely.)
The divines are reanimated spirits of dead humans. (Sorry, their
family trees come from other gods and demons.)
Project A-ko
Biko lusts after Eiko. (Biko is obsessed with demonstrating
superiority over Eiko, therefore validating her own self-worth, not
getting into Eiko's skirt.)
Shiko has vast psychic or magical powers. (No evidence to support
this claim, outside of the sixth movie.)
Biko and Gail did the dirty. (No evidence and his religious
conservatism would frown on pre-marital sex.)
Tenchi
Washu-chan is secretly the mother of the "new" Mayuka.
Any misdeed of Tenchi's grandfather will be transferred to Tenchi
himself.
Perhaps there can be a panel at the next fanfic convention about fanfic
conventions?
