Summary: The text of the events resulting from  the introduction of the
"Jumanji Board Game" McGuffin into the universe indexed "Ranma".

Indications of Interference
The implied transformation of the game from English-Language to
Japanese-Language aside, the mechanics of the game itself seem little
altered. The largest reality-alterations seem to be more of the basic
behavior and thought patterns of the residents of "Ranma", most notably
that of Tendo N. Free dispersion of currency is strongly against type, and
is clearly a device in order to put money into Saotome R.'s hands. Other
deviations include Tendo N.'s later emotionality, Tendo A.'s stasis, and
the lack of any Majors from outside the Tendo or Saotome families. All of
these later deviations, however, seem to be aimed at molding the residents
of "Ranma" into the plot of the cinematic version of "Jumanji".

Observation will be continued on this offshoot.

For Real:
This is intended to be the first of C&Cs on crossovers. I decided to focus
on these because there are already many skilled at prose-form criticism,
canon-conformity criticism, etc. There is a need, however, for someone to
comment on maintenance of character and conformity to the "rules" of the
sources. All to often, crossovers will result in characters being wildly
misdone out of an urge to "Get A & B together" or "See who would win in a
C vs. D fight". I just want to help with that.

The framework of the Department of Observation and Analysis is not my own,
although it itself is. Ten points to the first to guess what it is a
department of.
