Out of curiosity, but why exactly is it pointless? While you state your
relative likes and dislikes, I've yet to know why exactly you find fics of
those particular groupings you've personally deemed unfit to be read or a
waste of time as such. 

As for mental masturbation, guess it takes someone who's been there to
really know, huh? ^_- Haven't written a fic in a while myself, so I've not
gotten any in that department. ;)
