This fic's alternate history is interesting, but implausable. If there 
were no United States of America, who would have forced Japan out of its 
isolation in the 19th century if not Commodore Perry? If not for aid 
from the U.S.A., Germany would not have suffered a crushing defeat at 
the hands of France and Britain, thus 1920s Germany would be too stable 
and prosperous for the National Socialist German Worker's Party to take 
over, thus no Third Reich.

Just some thoughts.
