Authors don't necessarily want C&C or pre-reading, they want
recognition--any kind of recognition. They want the thrill to see a
stranger comment on their work to other strangers. They want to have
their ego stroked. I strive to provide this when I can, even when the
fic is so bad or ho-hum that no one else would bother talking about it.
And such a wonderful job of that you do, Gubby. It's no wonder all of us
here love and respect ya.
I, for one, hope you continue posting your fanfic-writing tips; I might
be doing a new edition of the "Guide to Really, Really Good Fanfiction"
someday.
