Hey Gary,

Hiya, Warr!

Only a week late... Little faster than the last time. Wheee.

That's OK... I'm a little slow these days myself. :)

With both of her sisters having moved away,
she was the woman of the house.

I don't know why, but this sentence bugged me. I think
it was the 'having moved away.' Probably just me. :)

I'll think about changing it.

If the Amazon had asked for help at that time, Akane might very
well have told her to go to hell.

Shouldn't 'hell' be capitalized as it's a place?

No, I don't think so.

Their fathers accepted these conditions with only a little grumbling.

...and midnight planning sessions. ;>

Yeah, but Akane didn't know about those. :-)

She remembered a saying that said that no plan could be foolproof
if there were ingenious enough fools around.

I thought the saying was more along the lines of "Make it fool
proof and someone will make a better fool." But I'm just
pickin' nits. <G>

Maybe Akane got it wrong. :)

Until one day. No more praise. No more stars.

       No more mother.

That's sad, man. *sniff* Let me agree with everyone else
when I say this is some very nice insight right here.

Thanks. :)

When Akane found out and confronted him about it, all he did
was shrug and tell her that she couldn't understand, it was a
guy thing.

Explains a few things about the way she treats el hentai...

I thought so... opinions were very divided on whether this was
believable, though.

The cask that the two men had been carrying abruptly sprouted
arms. These were followed by legs, then a head. "A wedding!"

Happi's been palling around w/ Tsubasa?

Nah, he's done that before. He came out of Akane's hot water kettle in
one story. Say, maybe Happosai is the one who taught Tsubasa how to do
that!

If he had had a mustache instead of his glasses, he would have looked
exactly like the man on the Monopoly board.

Problem being, Uncle Moneybags/MoneyPenny <whatever> actually has money.
;>

In this case, only Niece Nabbybags does. :-p

Shampoo sat in the foyer, ignoring the groveling Mousse, as the
wedding party emerged. She looked anxiously up at them. "Ceremony
finished
now?"

Hit return too early?

Probably, yeah.

Overall, a nice addition to the prequels. A good look into what made
Akane tick; her take on Martial Arts and boys/Ranma and such. Nice
transitions between flashbacks and current time interactions. No overuse
of ****FLASHBAAAAACK**** ;> Although, the comment about
Ranma taking the kids to the babysitter threw me for a second. Had to read
it a second time to realize we were back in present times.

I'll take a look at that. I kinda figured that people would've gotten
used to each Prelude starting out in the seven years post manga time.

Eagerly awaiting prelude 6!

Thanks! Will try to get it out as soon as I can. "Real life" is getting
rather busy these days.
