How do you know that (the last sentence, not the first)???  If my Chinese
isn't too rusty it approximately fits, actually.

The same thing goes for Shyan pu. [or Shan pu, or Shian pu or how everyou
monkey asses spell it.] and Ku lon.

Takahashi got the name Khu Lon from a Chinese writer, if I remember correctly.

It seems to be a common mistake for
Fanfic writers to assume that the Japanese would mispronounce thier
names. 
just thought I'd enlighten some of you.

The Japanese pronounciation for Shampoo, Mousse and Cologne are (from the
katakana) Shiyanpuu, Muusu, and Kuron.  It approximately fits the Chinese
pronounciation as well.

Me being Chinese, I know how they are pronounced.  Don't assume just
because a pronounciation sounds Japanese it means it isn't Chinese.  The On
sounds from kanji _are_ from Chinese, you know.

And people make use of the Shampoo-Shanpu mixup because our fics are in
English.  That's the truth.
