I am thinking of writing a fusion between Ranma 1/2 and Urusei Yatsura. 

This idea leaves me cold--but then, so do most crossovers. If it excites 
you, however, run with it.

1. How will Ranma catch Shampoo in the tag race? Ranma would not do 

what 

Ataru did, namely pull off her top to distract her, so what would he 

do?

Ranma, even prior to the Kachuu Tenshin Amaguriken, should be fast 
enough to catch Shampoo in any sort of race.

2. What would motovate Ranma to agree to allow Shampoo to move in with 
him? In UY it was Ataru's multibillion yen cab ride (see episode 1 or 
chapter 3 of the first volume of the manga) that did it, but what would 
work with Ranma?

The Kiss of Death can be worked in here.

Ranma, from what I have seen, was intentionally made by Takahashi to be 
nearly the exact opposite of Ataru. Note that Ataru is sneaky, devious, 
without shame, and an unpopular, skirt-chasing lecher, while Ranma is 
honorable, good-hearted, and has all of the girls chasing *him*, 

despite 

the fact that he doesn't want them.

Ahem...HAHAHAHhahahaHAHAhahaHAha...eh...ahem. Exqueeze me, but Ranma is 
a putz. The difference between them is that Ranma doesn't chase girls, 
and Ataru doesn't know martial arts.
