  For people with Macintoshes, there's a freeware program called
"BBEDIT
Lite".  It's free and you can't beat that!    ^_^
 

I agree completely. All my posts to the FFML and RAAC go through BBEDIT
Lite, although I do all my writing/editing in Word 98 for the Mac (or
Word 5.1 on my old powerbook when I'm writing in  the wilderness). The
posts to FFML/RAAC go through BBEDIT for final formatting which allows
for quick word wrapping and then a quick check for 'gremlins' (all those
pesky curly quotes and special characters).
