Act 3 of 'The Pursuit of Happiness' is rolling around, and at this
point I'd like to take a moment to listen to you, the readers
that have been following the story so far.

I wanna know what you guys want.

More!  More!  Always more! 
Ahem.  Excuse me.  More... of the same high quality.  Go at
your pace.

I'm wondering, though... there are a few people who have made
comments about Act 2 as if they've read more of it than I have
seen available.  Are these your pre-readers?  If so, then you guys
should be more careful with your spoilers!  Some of us have to
wait for the real release of the story.  

So, here's the questionaire....

1) Act 1 and Act 2 were fairly different in their nature.
  Act 1 was more episodic, with one part not heavily 
  relying on the previous one, while Act 2 revolved
  around the King of Nerima plot.  What style do you
  prefer, the episodic style of act 1, or the unified
  storyline style of act 2?

I think the Act 2 style makes for a more cohesive overall story,
but the Act 1 is more original flavor (one can call the Ranma 1/2
series many things, but "cohesive" is probably not one of them).
I think that as you go on, the more continuous, Act 2 style 
storyline is probably stronger.  By this time, you've hooked your
audience, and now you have the opportunity to tell a more 
complicated and involved story.  That's the kind I prefer, on the
whole, though obviously there are those who like their fics shorter.

2) What do you think of / want to see from the following
  characters?  More?  Less?  Are they getting annoying?
  Too much exposure?  Too little?

- Ryo Muhoshin

He's a fine villain, that Ryo.  The more the merrier, that's what
I say.

- Ryoko Muhoshin

I liked the hint that she's got more of the Muhoshin
psycho streak than she's shown thus far.  I'm eager to
see how much of that side of her comes out when 
the Ryouga Romance Tangle heats up more.  

- Megane Muhoshin

If there's one disposable character, it's Megane.  Not that
he's a bad character (though I must say I've gotten to know
him a lot more from the "More Things Read" pieces than the
stories themselves), but if you never mentioned him again I
probably wouldn't notice.  

- Kyoko Muhoshin

Kyoko works well in the context of her family.  I like her 
relationship with her siblings, and the way she makes Ryo
show sides of himself that would otherwise be invisible.  I 
don't know if I would really be too keen on reading "The 
Further Adventures of Kyoko" or some story in which she
was the central character, but the way she's a part of the
overall fabric is very effective.

- Tanya Noori

Well, Ryouga needs his confusing love interests.  I still
don't quite have a bead on what makes Tanya Noori tick
(I know what gives her a nervous tic, but that's a different
matter).  I'd like to see more of her in the story so we can
get a better grip on what sort of person she is.

3) What plot elements did you enjoy most?  least?

4) More humor?  Less?  More drama?  Less?

I don't want to mess with a good thing.  Write it as your
instincts tell you to write it - that's worked very, very well
so far.
