I don't know for sure but I don't think  this Ranma has lied
to Akane, told some half truths and partial details (see the
part about Shampoo's story).
Ranma also didn't want anyone to know about the curse, at
least among the Tendo's.
Now Akane is going to be asking some interesting questions.
I also suspect Cologne  has some questions of her own about
why did Ranma give the only cure (mentioned so far)
available  for the next 500 years to Ryoga.
