Magical girl Flash!
In the vast reaches of space a blue sphere spins in the darkness
of space. It spins in silence and circles unaware of its place in the
universe. Unbeknownst to its inhabitants it is about to play host to a
battle of epic proportions. The players in this battle move about their
lives unaware of the fate that will engulf them and their lives. A
devastating power lies in wait near the spheres orbiting moon, it waits
silently in its shadow. Today it strikes. On the planet a young girl
unaware of her destiny walks out of her home. Completely unaware of what
awaits her, on this day her life will change forever.
[[[Opening song: Just be concious From Slayers Return.]]]
"Hey! Tsuki-chan" cried a young voice from behind Tsuki Hikari.
"Great." she muttered. "The only guy who thinks the world of me
is a ten year old." she thought to herself as the young boy latched
himself around her waist. She was an attractive girl, she had long red
hair and light blue eyes, but she was also somewhat of a delinquent and a
bit of a tomboy. "Hello Sho-chan. How is the garden?" she asked him
politely. She had baby sat the boy since he was very young and liked him.
The only problem was, he like her too much. That and he could be a bit
tiresome at times.
"The roses are almost ready to bloom!" he said proudly. The boy
had a strange hobby, he grew flowers. All types of them, his garden was
his pride and joy. Tsuki imagined that he would grow out of it in time,
but he hadn't yet. He said it was stress relieving. Tsuki frowned, it
seemed more like work to her.
Several cars passed as she pulled him off her. "Sho your to old
to act like this cut it out." she growled at him.
"But Tsuki chan, I love you." he said looking at her with that
eye trick he did sometimes.
"And I think your a great kid. Now get off." she said angrily.
The boy complied and walked with her. "Why do you wear that
jacket? It isn't cold." Sho asked her.
The jacket in question was a black leather bomber that was
Tsuki's Pride and joy. "Hey, lay off the jacket kid. You'll understand
when your older." she said looking at him with an air of arrogance.
"Ok." he replied and turned cheerfully away as some of her
friends walked up. "Hey, Kasumi, Atama." she greeted.
Kasumi was tall and had shoulder length black hair. She always
had a headband to keep her bangs under control. She smiled and walked up
to Tsuki cheerfully with a load of books under her arm.
"Isn't it to hot for Meushi-chan?" said Kasumi pointing at
Tsuki's jacket.
"Oh would every one please quit it about my Meushi-chan. I like
it Ok?!" yelled Tsuki.
"You know what? I love that hair thingy!" said Atama cheerfully
pointing at the flower the boy had stuck in her hair. She was something
of an enigma to Tsuki. She was an inch or two taller than she was and had
long blue hair that she tied with a ribbon at the base. She also wore
glasses, they gave her a look of intelligence. Looks were very deceiving.
She and Tsuki had met under unusual circumstances, Tsuki had taken her on
appearance and tried to cheat off her on a test. They had failed
miserably and been caught.
"Why that little sneak!" cried Tsuki without much malice. "So you
guys want to blow school today? We could stay at my place." she
suggested.
"No, unlike you two I actually have a chance at graduating.
Besides I hate the way your stupid cat glares at us. I think she gets mad
when we skip school there." said Kasumi as she walked towards the school.
"Whatever, its just a stupid cat." grumbled Tsuki.
"You really think so?!" asked Atama looking worried.
"God you are such an air head." said Tsuki as she followed her
friend to school.
Atama looked at the pair for a moment and started to bawl.
"WAAAAAAHHHH! Your so mean Tsuki-kun!" she cried and fell on her knees.
"Great now we'll be late." grumbled Kasumi as she tried to
comfort her friend.
"Serves her right the dits." grumbled Tsuki to herself.
"Oh no you don't Tsuki Hikari! You get back here and apologize to
her right now!" growled Kasumi, she was very unhappy with the prospect of
being late.
"Aww, do I have to?" whined Tsuki.
"Well if it isn't Tsuki. Still wearing that dead cow?" said a
familiar voice behind Tsuki. She spun around and growled as a tall
slender girl with long black hair rounded the corner. Beside her two
other girls walked up. They were her 'men' so to speak, following her
around like puppies.
"Jishaku." said Tsuki angrily. "You stay out of this." she said
coldly.
"My such manners. You should treat your betters with more
respect." said the girl as she brushed her hair aside.
"I'd kick your ass." said Tsuki.
"Precisely my point thug." said the girl with a smile. "A girl
should be delicate and strong. Not brutish and arrogant like you." she
said.
"Uh, Kire?" said one of her lackeys nervously. She had sandy
blond hair and was almost as slender as her leader. The other girl had
green hair that she kept in a ponytail that went below her waist. She had
braces and a small mole on her left cheek. All three of them were
cheerleaders. Tsuki hated cheerleaders.
"Everyone knows you should have been born a boy. With a figure
like that you almost were. Why, if you didn't have breast I'd think you
were. To think I the most popular girl in school tried to change such an
ape at one time out of the kindness of my heart..." continued the
arrogant girl.
"I need no help from you Kire Jisaku, so you just stay the hell
away from me if you want to live." growled Tsuki angrily as she tried to
control herself.
"Ha, do as you like simpleton. I won't have anything to do with
fools like you." said the girl as she looked at Kasumi.
"Hey, you can't talk to us like that!" cried Atama angrily as she
forgot about her tears.
Kasumi turned up her nose and turned away from Kire wordlessly.
"Well how rude. I guess I'll just leave you to your meaningless
existence." said Kire as she left. Her lackeys turned up their noses and
followed wordlessly.
"Look who's talking." muttered Tsuki.
"Where?" asked Atama as she looked around. Tsuki and Kasumi just
face faulted.
In the sky above a figure sat upon a throne on a secret base that
floated freely in space. It was a great sphere with a seemingly polished
and flawless surface, it reflected no light and sat silently. Men in
uniforms stood around the throne and scurried about in the pits that were
in the floor around a single walkway that led to a great screen that
took up the entire wall opposite the seated figure who simply sat
silently in the shadows. The large base stayed in the shadow of the moon
and always watched the earth. It waited for many years unseen by the
prying eyes of men and their machines. "It is time." said a hard voice
from the throne, all the men around stood and saluted the figure that sat
motionless still.
"As you wish." said the tall dark skinned man who stood near the
screen. He had long brown hair and a scar on his face that ran from his
forehead to his chin on the right side, his robes were long and gave him
an air of authority and power. "Launch the probe." he commanded. A few
moments later an object surrounded by black light shot from the base and
fell towards the earth.
"And so it begins." said the figure in the throne.
In a field in Hokkaido...
"I wonder how she is, its been so long." thought the boy as he
walked. He was about seventeen and was dressed in a brown T-shirt and
blue jeans. He had short brown hair and a scar like an x on his left
cheek. He shifted the bag on his shoulder and looked down the road as he
walked seeing endless asphalt. He pressed on in the cool evening air and
smiled. "I wonder exactly how long its been?" he wondered idly. "Four
years?" he said to himself after a moments thought. "Well Tsuki, I hope
you've been practicing. Hibiki Yakamashii is coming." said the boy as he
walked. He looked at the sky and saw a shooting star burning brightly in
the sky. "Bring me a challenge." he said to it.
Elsewhere....
A young man stood in a field surrounded by dummies. He had on
simple robes and had long brown hair that blew in the wind as a storm
blew in the distance. On his right side two curved swords hung at his
waist. He smiled with a look of arrogant confidence and ran through the
targets. He passed only once and stopped on the other side of the cluster
of dummies. In his hands the swords seemed to shine as lightening flashed
and boomed in the distance. He stood motionless as each dummy collapsed.
He stood tall and returned the blades skillfully to his side. Off in the
distance a shooting star appeared in the sky opposite the approaching
storm. A cold shiver ran down his spine. "This does not bode well." he
said quietly. With that he gathered his things and began walking towards
the city of Tokyo.
Tsuki looked out the window of her home and smiled as the wind
blew. In the distance a storm approached that sent cool winds through the
air. She began to put her hair up for the night and straddled the chair
that she used for her small desk. "Its so peaceful, isn't it Sasha?" she
said scratching the black cat that sat on her bed next to her and gazed
out at the stars. It was a plain looking animal, it had long black hair
and yellow eyes. It purred as Tsuki stroked its back and arched against
her hand. Tsuki looked at the animal and sighed. Sasha had been in the
home as long as she could remember. She had a scar over her right eye
which she kept closed consistently. Tsuki giggled as it rubbed her hand
with its head. She looked out the window and saw a shooting star dart
across the sky. She was about to close her eyes and make a wish when the
cat gasped. Tsuki looked at her and frowned as the animal looked out the
window at the shooting star with both eyes wide open.
"No." whispered the animal.
Tsuki just stared at her. "What?" she said after a moment.
"Its too soon, she isn't ready...none of them are." said the
animal ignoring her.
Tsuki breathed deeply and started screaming...

Should I write more? Tell me! Continuation of this depends on interest.
Those of you who don't know my stuff should know I like to take stuff as
far away from where I started as possible. [See Spirit within and The
reluctant fiancee' for examples.]
C&C to Catbert25@juno.com
To those of you who were wondering, I have seen exactly two
episodes of Sailor moon. The one I remember was where this guy used an
airplane to fight with the girls at an airport, just from stuff on the
list I'd say that this was probably the end of the first season? I don't
know really. The other one I saw was probably somewhere in the middle,
but I don't really know. I don't really watch magical girl anime, that's
-why- I decided to write this, its more likely to be more original. I
just wanted you to know that so you realize that this isn't a Sailor Moon
copy fic. I just took the basic concept and added my own spin to it. It
will probably have more influence by Ranma 1/2, Slayers, El-Hazard, Dirty
pair flash [Where I got the idea for the name, due to the style of
drawing that the characters have in my mind.], Tenchi Muyo, Street
fighter, Dragonball and dragon ball Z manga, Devil Hunter Yohko...You get
the idea. I don't want this to become a 'monster of the week' type story.
The characters will save the world and all that from alien invaders and
such, but...They will also interact with other characters ala Ranma and
Tenchi, both friendly and Hostile. Also, every one was not introduced in
this story, I have a whole rogues gallery lined up. Tell me what you
think!
