This is an alternate look of the history of the Silver Millennium and the
early lives of the Senshi. If you have a problem with lesbianism don't

Silver Millennium:
Alpha
By: Dreiser
-Prologue-
With a sigh Queen Serenity had a small smile on her face as
she gazed out from her balcony at the gardens watching her daughter
and the Princesses from the Inner Planets as they talked happily while
gathering flowers. It had been a week since Serenity had called for the
girls to take their place at her court as Senshi and they were getting
along amazingly well.
Smiling softly she watched as her daughter giggled before
offering the Princess of Mars a tiara she had made out of red roses.
Mars grinned widely bowing slightly so the younger Serenity could
place the floral crown on her dark head then proceeded to offer the
Princess of the Moon one of the rare glittering moonlight roses. Eyes
wide Serenity took the offering and blushed profusely.
The Princess of Jupiter rolled her expressive green eyes at this
display and elbowed Venus who toppled back into a bed of daisies
from Jupiter's unknowing strength. Her mouth in a wide `o' shape
Jupiter immediately scrambled over to Venus pulling her up. The
golden beauty laughed in a melodic voice gently teasing Jupiter.
It was then that the Princess of Mercury, who had been
analyzing the rare moonlight rose Mars had given Serenity, looked up
and commented that Jupiter had just assassinated several of the
endangered starlight daisies. Jupiter looked horrified for a moment
before commenting that it was Venus that has landed on them. The
pair then proceeded to argue over whose fault it was that the daisies
were smooshed until Serenity cut in to tell them that they had more
than a thousand of the starlight daisies in the greenhouse on the other
side of the Moon. Eyes wide the pair glowered at Mercury who
giggled as they threw the daisies at her while she said she never knew
such gullibility.
Just like sisters, Queen Serenity thought with a smile. I never
would have thought they would bond so soon. Although, some are
more social than others, the Queen observed. With that, she directed
her crystalline eyes towards the stoic Princess of Uranus who was
practicing some obscure form of Uranian martial arts on the other side
of the gardens. Watching Uranus was the elegant Princess of Neptune
who was sitting with Serenity and the others playing her violin for
them. Occasionally Neptune would glance up to watch Uranus
practicing.
Unknown to Neptune the lanky Uranus would mimic this same
action after finishing an exercise but only when she was sure no one
was looking. Practicing with Uranus was the slight Princess of Saturn
who eagerly took in every piece of information the statuesque blonde
offered her. First Uranus would demonstrate the technique then Saturn
would copy and listen as Uranus pointed out the errors in her styling
then helped in trying again. Queen Serenity could not help but smile
widely as Uranus loudly congratulated Saturn on correctly performing
some sort of backhanded sweep patting the small dusky girl on the
back then pulling her in an affectionate one armed hug. Saturn glowed
from the attention and blushed happily.
It really is unusual they get along so well, Serenity mused.
Uranus was such a guarded person, for what reason the Queen had no
idea, that only the obvious innocence of Saturn seemed to immediately
draw her out. The older girl had taken it as her task to rid Saturn of
the turmoil that was her Senshi power.
Shaking her head Serenity murmured, "Such a pity. One so
young having to deal with the guilt of such power. Truly unfair.."
Then there was the Princess of Pluto. Crystalline eyes focused
on the tallest of the figures, her dark green hair whipping in the wind,
standing in front of the moonlight lake with red eyes which appeared to
glaze over as she stared off into the distance. With a slight sigh the
svelte figure leaned against staff continuing her vigilant post while
watching for.. well, only Pluto knew the answer to that. Odd, Serenity
contemplated to herself. Of course what really is normal for a girl
destined to guard the Gate of Time? Shaking her lavender head the
Queen of the Moon continued to contemplate the champions of her
court before going back inside.
-One-
Groaning Uranus flopped to the ground exhausted. Stretching
her long legs she pulled her hands back under her head to gaze up at
the stars. "I'm beat!" she announced to her tiny companion.
Looking to the giggling Saturn who softly settled next to her on
the grass Uranus moved to ruffle the shoulder length dusky hair on the
slight girl who smiled happily.
Grinning crookedly Uranus looked back up at the stars saying,
"You're getting very good at the Uranian art of self-defense Hotaru.
My father couldn't have taught you better himself."
Blushing Saturn ducked her head. "T-thank you Haruka. I'm
glad you think so... I've worked very hard."
Drawing herself up off the ground Uranus studied the smaller
girl closely. "I know and I've been wondering... why? You're the most
powerful out of all of us. Even more powerful than Pluto. You don't
need to know hand to hand combat so why ask me to teach you?"
Dark eyes met storm blue ones hesitantly. "My powers are the
exact reason why I am doing this Haruka," Saturn explained softly.
"You have yet to see their destructive effect. I have... and... and I
don't ever want to use them unless it is absolutely necessary."
Running her long fingers through her short blonde hair Uranus
cocked her head to one side before putting a gentle hand on Saturn's
cheek. With a crooked smile Uranus whispered. "It'll be all right
Hotaru. You were given those powers for a reason. Probably because
of your pure heart, someone like me couldn't handle such
responsibility." Saturn was about to protest this comment but Uranus
cut her off saying with a silly grin. "Hell! Knowing me I'd use Death
Reborn Revolution if a waiter brought me the wrong food at a
restaurant."
Laughing despite herself Saturn shook her dusky head at the
thought. Seeing that Saturn was feeling better Uranus stood and
offered the petite girl her hand. "C'mon it's almost time for dinner."
When Saturn and Uranus entered the dining hall all the other
Princesses and the Queen herself were already gathered around the
table. Uranus quietly took her place next to Neptune and Saturn sat
next to Uranus blushing a bit because of their tardiness.
"Did you have a good practice Hotaru?" questioned Queen
Serenity with a smile.
Nodding her head Saturn softly replied, "Yes."
"She's practically beating me up," commented Uranus with a
wide grin before eating the food set in front of her.
"Somehow I do not see her defeating the champion of Uranian
martial arts so soon Haruka," the Queen said with a smile. Uranus
colored slightly at the compliment. "Well! I'm sorry it took so long but
I've finally managed to decide who your combat partners shall be."
Immediately all the Senshi were focused on the Queen's words
eagerly. Their combat partner was to be a partner in everything done.
They would fight side by side, attend the same classes at school, even
room together. In short they would become companions for life.
Mars gazed wistfully to her right at the Princess Serenity who
was in turn studying Mars with a certain longing in her eyes.
Wordlessly Serenity gave a slight sad smile then squeezed the other
girl's hand under the table. Returning the smile Mars squeezed
Serenity's hand in turn. The pair wanted to be partnered more than
anything but knew it was an impossible task since Serenity was
forbidden to take up her Senshi duties unless things had reached the
ultimate level of desperation.
Clearing her throat Queen Serenity began again, "Mars you
are with Mercury. The elements of fire and water coupled with
impetuous and pensive attitudes makes you compliment one another
perfectly."
Mercury glanced over at Mars hesitantly, the dark haired
mystic had a wide grin on her face and gave Mercury a thumbs up sign
which the other girl grinned at.
"Jupiter." Snapping her green eyes up the leggy brunette
ceased her whispering with Venus to focus on the Queen's words.
"Although I am positive the teachers will resent me for this I am placing
you with Venus--" The two girls squealed loudly with happiness at this
grabbing each others shoulders bouncing around in their seats. Already
the pair began discussing all the fun they would have when the Queen
coughed to get their attention. Embarrassed Jupiter and Venus
apologized and broke their embrace. "As I was saying," the Queen
said with a twinkle in her eyes. "I am sure anyone who enjoys peace
and quiet will not favor this but Jupiter, your raw power when
combined with Venus sheer accuracy will make you an unstoppable
team. Also, you two appear to get along somewhat." Venus blushed at
this and Jupiter snickered.
Crystalline eyes then focused on the mysterious figure that is
Pluto. "Due to the extreme seriousness of both your powers Pluto and
Saturn, you shall be partnered. Together I hope you might learn from
one another how to handle such responsibility while having someone
near who is experiencing the same pressures of the situation." Pluto
nodded at Queen Serenity then focused her red eyes on the slight form
of Saturn who wore a small smile. Pluto returned the smile and Saturn
blushed.
"If you have not guessed Uranus you are partnered with
Neptune. The opposing elements of both your personalities and
powers shall make for a unusual and unexpected force. The pure
destructive ability your blasts hold Uranus will be gentled by Neptune's
waves when needed or accented by the passion the sea can feel."
Neptune shyly looked up at Uranus stoic figure. The statuesque
blonde focused storm blue eyes on sea green ones and offered a wisp
of a smile. Neptune returned the gesture and tried to calm her racing
heart.
