For the next couple of days, I'll be unable to get internet access. So,
I've a couple of requests to relevant parties below.
1) Everyone I preread for/C&C, please send a copy of the posts to
jliao@princeton.edu (hope it still works). I'll try to check this account
first if I can, before I address anything else, and the fics I get on it
will get higher priority to C&C.
2) About my archive of Slayers/WoT posts, I just remembered the FFML
Usenet Archive. Change the target year to 1998, and enter these as the
subject lines for searching. The relevant posts are dated from late
Febuary and early March.
[FFML] [Spam][Wot] Yet more Crossover idea's...
[FFML] [SPAM?] Dragon Slave, Slayers, WoT and stuff.
I would just send them to everyone who requests them myself, but I had not
expected the number of people that have requested it in such a short
amount of time, and there are 35 letters. The URL for the Archive is in
the FAQ.
I'd also like to request that everyone who's interested in pursuing this
crossover to let me know. Drop me a line, and I'll see if I can
coordinate something with everyone. Group fanfic, prereaders, idea swap,
whatever. There are three people (besides me) so far who've asked for a
copy, so I'm feeling a little hopeful right now that *someone* will be
able to complete this promising idea. (Hey, Rich! Are you reading this?)
3) I asked Tybalt to ban GutB earlier, and was told that he can only ban
spammers, not people with pseudo-C&C who try to piss off others. So,
everyone who's been making roundabout comments to the effect that an
unnamed critic who "just happens" to have the same IP address and a
similar writing style as GutB should get kicked off, save some K from our
mailboxes. Pleas to Tybalt won't work in this case.
There *is* someone who can kick him off, but I don't want to start a flood
of private mail to him, so I won't say. It shouldn't be that hard to
figure out, anyway.
Well, bye everyone!
-Natsume Ranma Ranma
-------
The sardines weren't worth the trouble. A few more shots, then
Ryoga-san would overheat and explode. Ducking around a corner,
I managed to lose him as I entered the ramshackle residence of
my Anime supplier.
One look at his face and I knew that I was betrayed. "Tell me."
I insisted. He refused, so I slammed him against the wall.
"Last chance. Where can Ranma-Ranma find good fanfics?"
"Try Jason Liao." he whispered, before he slumped to the floor.
I heard the sounds of a door splintering as I left through the
window, one step ahead of Tendo Heavy Industries...
