A NOTE FROM THE AUTHOR
Hi Hi! Another attempt at writing an on going fic! I got this idea
from my friend, who is also going to write a fic based on this sort of
story line. I'm using my Manga as to help me along with the story so
sorry if some things are a little off, if you've only seen the anime (I
suggest to pick up the manga. Takahashi-sensei is a GENIUS! *^_^*)

"Oh sorry sir! You fall in 'Spring of Drown girl'!" Now YOU BE GIRL
FOREVER!!! AHAHAHAHA!!!!"
Ranma was falling down an endless pit. Darkness engulfed him as his
body shifted from male to female.
"I'M A GUY!! A GUY YOU HEAR ME!!!" She yelled.
Suddenly, faces appeared all around her.
"How dare you shame the Saotome name like this, Ranma! You have no
honor!!" His father scolded.
"Genma promised me he had a son! Some son you turned out to be!!" Soun
said in digust.
"You think *HE'S* disapointed!! Some fiancee this is!" Nabiki's words
rung in her head.
"I. AM. A. MAN!!!" She said while shutting her eyes to escape them.
"Ranma...." A gentle voice said. Ranma opened his eyes to be looking
at Akane.
"My Name is Akane. Do you want to be friends? Ranma........ Ranma?"

"Ranma? Hey Ranma! Time to get up!!" Akane said while shaking her
friend's shoulders.
Ranma rolled over and threw the blanket over her face, "Five more
minutes Oyaji!"
Akane giggled slightly, "Ranma. I'm not you're Otou-san, and if you
don't get up soon we're going to be late for school!"
Ranma finally cluded in as she uncovered herself, "School?"
Akane nodded enthusiastically, "Yup! Otou-san..well... when he finally
woke up, said that it would be a good idea if you started going to
school here! Don't worry, I'll show you the ropes." She said with a
wink.
Ranma could feel her face starting heat up and she cleared her throat
quickly, "Okay, mind if I wash up first though?"
Akane nodded, "Sure! Nabiki and I have already already had our bath so
it should be free for you. Oh yeah, I almost forgot. I think I have an
extra uniform for you to wear to school."
Ranma cringed, "Um.. if it's all the same to you, do you think that I
could just wear the clothes I have?"
Akane looked at her oddly, "Sure. Well, I'll be downstairs! Remember
to hurry!" She stood up and left Ranma to herself.
Ranma frowned after Akane had left her, "What a weird dream..." *Good
thing I have the furo to myself. I need to get out of this girl body
for at LEAST five minutes. If I have to stay this way much longer, I
think I'll go crazy!!*

"Ranma?"
"Yeah, Akane?" Ranma asked from her perch on top of the fence. She
stared thoughtfully in front of herself.
"I was just wondering...How do you do that?" She said nervously, as she
watched Ranma walk across the fence.
She now had Ranma attention, "How do I do what?" She asked.
"How do you walk on top of that? Without falling off I mean." Akane
inquired.
"Oh this? It's actually not very hard. I guess I picked up a lot of
balance while training with Oyaji. Hey, why don't you try it? Come on
it's fun!" Ranma said while offering a hand to help Akane up.
"Oh no that's okay. I'm no good at stuff like that.." She said
nervously.
"Oh come on!" Ranma taunted, "You're a pretty good martial artist
yourself, so you have to have pretty good balance!"
"Fine.." Akane said in defeat as she walked over and grabbed onto
Ranma's hand.
Ranma felt a strange shiver go up his spine when she held onto Akane
hand. It wasn't unpleasent, just weird. She quickly dismissed it and
pulled Akane to the top of the fence, "You okay?"
Akane nodded, "Yeah... but what if I fall?"
Ranma laughed, "Don't worry! You'll do great. Besides, I'm right
behind you so if you fall I'll catch you okay?"
"Okay... " Akane said somewhat nervously as she took some slow steps,
gradually speeding up until she was at walking pace.
"See? You're doing fine!" Ranma said, somewhat surprised at herself
how easy it was to pay a compliment to Akane. Twice since she had met
Akane had she blushed. Ranma really hoped Akane didn't notice.
"OOF!!" Ranma's train of thought was interupted as she ran into the
back of Akane, causing them both to go off balance and fall to the
ground, "Hey what's...??" Ranma was going to finish her sentance when
she saw Akane staring off towards a building.
"Hey Akane!" Ranma said loudly while waving her hands infront of her
friends face.
Akane snapped out of her trance, "Oh gomen! I..uh...was distracted she
said sheepishly and pushed herself to her feet and helped Ranma up.
"What's wrong with you Akane??" Ranma asked.
"N-nothing...." Akane said with a blush as she turned from the small
building.
"Oh hello, ladies." Said a young man as he popped his head out of the
doorway to see what the commotion was about.
Akane's eyes glazed over slightly, "H-Hello Toufu-sensei!"
Ranma eyed Akane with suspision, "So who's he?"
Akane mentally slapped herslef and introduced Ranma, "Sorry! Ranma this
is Toufu-sensei. Toufu-sensei, Ranma. She's staying in our house for a
while."
Toufu stuck out a hand to shake, "Nice to meet you Ranma."
"Likewise.." Ranma said with discression, "Akane, we're going to be
late."
"Oh no!! Thanks Ranma!! Good bye sensei!!!" Akane said as they took
off once more towards the school.
"So, who was that?" Ranma asked after a minute.
"Oh, he's a local chiropractor. Ever since I was young, he's taken care
of my injuries. He may not look like it, but he's a very skilled
martial artist." Ranma noticed Akane's smile.
"But he's a guy...." Ranma noted.
"What's your point?" Akane asked in confusion.
"But I thought you hated guys?" Ranma asked, somewhat disapointed.
Akane regained her thoughts, "That's right! I....despise.....men!!"
In the short distance a school bell could be heard, and soon after a mob
of boys, "Tendou Aknae's here!!"
"Ranma!! Get outta the way!!" Akane yelled as she charged forward.
Ranma looked at her the crowd in wonder as she jumped onto the wall
gaurding the border of the school yard.
"Akane don't come any closer!!!" "They all want to beat you!!"
Blue chi could be seen surrounding Akane, "Outta my way, I'm late!!!!!"
"No Akane!" "I won't let another guy touch you!" "I'll do it myself!"
The boys were met with a roundhouse of kicks and/or a school bag to the
face.
Ranma stared in awe as Akane knocked all the guys into submission.
"Oh, Ranma-chan!" Nabiki yelled from a window in the school, "Ranma!
Get into the school now or you're gonna be late!"
Ranma looked up to Nabiki, "But..But..."
"Don't worry about Akane! She's used to it!" Nabiki smirked.
"For Pete's sake.." Akane huffed, "Every morning. You think they'd get
it by now... Such a drag.." She said while flipping her hair back over
her shoulder.
"Truly such a borish lot..." A voice rang out form the sidelines of the
fight, "Evidently, each of them intends to ask you out, Akane... on the
dawn that he finally defeats you."
Akane slumped her shoulders, "Oh.. Kunou-senpai... good morning." Akane
caught the rose that had flung towards her.
"And now Tendou Akane, might you fight with me?" The boy said while
drawing his bokken.
"Wow Akane, you're really popular with the guys..." Ranma said as she
hopped off the wall to Akane's side.
"Ranma? I thought you went inside! You better watch out or you'll get
hurt..." Akane said in worry.
"And who is this temptrest who has befriended my dearest Akane....
reveal yourself." The short-haired boy said in interest.
Ranma stared in shock, "You're talking about me? My name's Saotome
Ranma."
"Ranma.... a name of a man... not fitting for one who is as lovely as
yourself. Your beauty doth match that of Tendou Akane!! Very well
then, since you are new to our school.. I shall allow you to date me!!"
Kunou said as he launched his self toward the two. But, alas, he was
met square in the face with two fists.
"Who the heck is that guy?" Ranma asked Akane as they walked in the
school.
"That's Kunou-senpai. Don't pay any attention to him. He's just
perverted like all the other guys of the world." Akane said in disgust.
Ranma grimaced as the two disapeared into the building.
Meanwhile, Kunou still lay on the ground in a daze.
*That girl!! She's is formidable! The power in her punch... her
healthy beauty... surely she is equal only to Akane-chan. Very well! I
shall allow her to date with me! Oh but what will come of Akane... I
shall date with them both!!* If you were paying any attention, you
would have seen a grin quickly pass over Kunou's lips, right before he
slipped into unconciousness.

Akane and Ranma stood in the hall, both holding a bucket in each hand.
"Oh I can't believe we were late!" Akane groaned, "I'm really sorry.
And on your first day no less!"
Ranma shook her head, "Really, Akane. For the millionth time, I don't
mind."
Akane smiled appologetically, "I usually finish my fight, before the
school bell even rings..."
"What's that about, anyway?" Ranma asked in curiosity.
"Oh...." Akane said, painfully re-calling all the fuss the boys had
gone to over trying to date with her, to Ranma.
As Akane went on, Ranma's eyes grew in anger, "Are you serious?! What I
joke!! If anyone ever did that to me...!" Ranma trailed off
remembering his position, as a guy, "Don't worry Akane. If you want I
can help you with them, just so we'll be on time I mean...." *So that's
why Akane is always saying bad thing about men.......*
"It's okay, Ranma." Akane smiled weakly, "I have to fight my own
fights. I don't want you to get hurt anyway. Just try to be ready a
little earlier tomorrow, okay?"
Ranma grinned sheepishly, "Oh... yeah.. sorry bout that....."
"Don't worry about it. It's not like this is the first time I've been
late anyway..." Akane laughed.
Ranma seemed to fidget nervously, "Akane.. I've been meaning to ask
you. What's up with you and that Toufu guy?"
A noticible blush seemed to creep up Akane's cheeks, "T-T-Toufu-sensei?
Nothing! Not a thing.. why?"
"I dunno.... it's just...well... you like him don't you?"
Akane glanced down to the ground nervously, "Me? Like toufu-sensei?
I..uh..... well.... I guess... a bit....."
Ranma looked somewhat crestfallen, "Oh........"
"Why did you want to know? Oh no... you like him too??" Akane grimaced
inwardly.
"No no no!! No it's not like that!!" Ranma said on the defensive.
Akane exhaled in relief, "Okay.. I'm glad.. I wouldn't want us to be
competing over him or anything."
Ranma shook her head, "Believe me, you DO NOT have to worry about that!"

"What was that, Tendou Nabiki!?!" Kunou exlaimed while leaping towards
the middle Tendou daughter.
"1, 000 yen." Nabiki said while holding out her hand.
Tatewaki glared to her, but forked over the money anyway.
Nabiki smiled and continued, "As I said, Ranma is staying over at our
house from now on."
"Both Akane and Ranma under the same roof??! Why do the heaven's mock
me so!!" Kunou wretched, "Very well then!! Please deliver this note to
Ranma..." He said while handing over a white sheet of paper, folded
into three section and again folded at the ends. Ranma's name was
scrawled across the front.
"Another thousand yen." Nabiki smiled.
"You know I hate you..." Kunou said while handing over another
thousand.
"Oh, and I'm so hurt..." Nabiki grinned thankfully as she stuffed the
money into her wallet.

As soon as lunch time rolled around, Nabiki sought out her pray.
"Here, Ranma." Nabiki said while handing Ranma a letter.
"What? What is it?" Ranma asked in curiosity.
"It's from Kunou-chan." She said dryly, while walking back to meet with
her friends.
"What is it?" Akane asked while peering over Ranma's shoulders.
Ranma scanned the page then handed it to her new friend.
Akane read it over, "A Challenge from Kunou-senpai? I wonder what this
is all about.... Ranma, maybe you shouldn't go. Kunou's pretty good
with that bokken. What if you get hurt?" She asked, worry brimming her
words.
Ranma cocked a smile, "Hey don't worry about it Akane! I mean, we beat
him this morning. What could possibley happen?"
Akane had a feeling Ranma would soon be eating her words.
