Actually, yes.  If you check the Usenet archive, there was a large
discussion on a WoT/Slayers crossover, how it might be plausable, how the
magic might function, etc.  The only reason that I haven't started this
myself is that about half the discussion was around characters and events
found in Next and Try, and I haven't seen either yet. 

If anyone wants the posts, I saved most of them in anticipation of writing
it someday, and I'll send them to you if requested.  If not, then I'll
just keep this crossover on my list of fanfic ideas, until I see Next and
Try (but don't hold your breath).

The sardines weren't worth the trouble.  A few more shots, then 
Ryoga-san would overheat and explode.  Ducking around a corner, 
I managed to lose him as I entered the ramshackle residence of 
my Anime supplier.
