Ryan, 
   I want to tell you that I have finished your prequel "Vengeance" and read
this teaser.
I am ready to give you my opinion now.  

I loved it.

I think that if you keep at the story, developing the characters and storyline
that this one could rival "Thy Inward Love" by Richard Lawson.  I am not
putting him down, I think this story has the ability to be as good.  I don't
know what kind of comments you have recieved about it but it is well written,
the story has an original flavor but is not a self insert.  It takes on angst,
betrayal, and redemption fron characters that may be a bit surprising.  It was
hard to predict (for the most part) where the story would go next.  It kept me
interested and was not a rehash of something someone else has already written.
Keep at it, I can't wait to read the next part.  I encourage everyone to take
a moment and give this series a look.  I think it well worth the effort.
