Bored. Bored Bored. That's what's been happening for me over the
week. I can't seem to do much about my fanfic this week. That being the
case, I was struck with this silly little idea. I may _try_ to make it
work but somehow I felt that I needed to test the waters first. Tell me
what you think of it guys... and this time, I promise it will be a funny
one. Well, I hope it is.

PROLOGUE
It was a dark night. Dark and uneventful after a week of hair-
raising boomer rampages and unsuccessful and/or partially successful
attempts at nude photography.
Mackie Stingray, the only son of the revered creator of boomers,
Katsuhito Stingray, was bored out of his mind. His sister weren't around
the usual places where she normally hole up whenever she was up to
something which led him to believe she was doing something _other_ than
thinking up how to lay GENOM lower.
He idly tapped the end of the pencil on the keyboard while he
stared at the nude picture of Nene-chan he held in his hand. Something
was wrong with him as staring at _anything_ hentai would normally give
him some boost.
His stomach grumbled in protest.
Mackie decided to chalk it up to being starved.
Owing to the fact that he wasn't a cook if his life depended on it,
he quickly dialed up a number from memory.
"Akie's." a young purple haired woman answered.
<Man! What a looker! Wonder what bust size she has.> A protesting
growl form his belly prompted him to answer. "Uh... I need to order
take-out." He mentally smashed his face on the monitor. Of all the
stupid things to do! Damn!
The woman smiled. "Gomenasai. We are currently unable to offer
that form of service for the time being. Perhaps..."
Mackie shook his head. "No. Don't worry about it. Maybe if you
and - hey! Wait!!!" He grabbed the monitor as if he could try and stop
the woman from hanging up the vidphone.
*sigh*
<Damn! My luck sure hasn't changed! Ah.. well.... Maybe some
other time then...>
He closed his eyes and dialed another phone number. <Gods! I hope
they can do takeouts.> His mind remembered the unusual rapidity of
Boomer rampages in the city which had prompted the Sabers to the limits
of their endurance.
*ring!* *ring!*
<Hmm...Strike two. Okaaay. Let's try number three. I hope my
luck's in otherwise I'll have to cook something on my own.> He shivered
at that thought.
*ring!* *ring!*
<Damn!>
*ring!* *ring!*
<Sorry. Due to certain reasons, we have decided....>
"Argh!!! Can't those frigging boomers _not_ destroy every
restaurant in the area??!!" He decided to give it one more try before he
decided to cook his own meal.
*ring!* *ring!*
<Goddess Relief Office. Please wait one moment for an operator to
attend to you. Thank you.>
Mackie stared at the monitor wondering what he did now. The mug of
coffee he had on the table suddenly glowed an unearthly foggy white as
sparkling motes of silver floated out of said mug. His eyes widened as
something _human_ came out of the mug.
Life appeared to have decided to make things a _lot_ more
interesting for him.
And it was starting already.

Once and Future Goddess

Note: Somehow I feel someone had already used the title. ^_^
Chapter One: Wrong Numbers
Mackie felt utter terror welling up within him. He summoned all
his will to stem his fears lest it make him do something silly. <Yeash!
Like gibbering in panic wasn't silly enough should the women see him
now.> Mackie idly entertained in his mind that this might be some type of
trick by his sister and the others in retaliation of those nude pics he
managed to snag from that remote microvid he cobbled together.
Somehow he doubted that.
"Konichiwa!" a rather cheerful voice snapped him out of his
praying.
Mackie slowly opened his eyes. In front of him, passing a
perfectly shaped hand before his face as expressive dark blue eyes stared
at him with a hint of amusement in it.
"You expecting someone else maybe?" she asked as she helped the
young hentai off the floor.
Mackie immediately went to the far side of the small lab and
decided to take stock of his situation. Before him was a dazzling woman
perhaps of his age. Maybe a year or so less dressed in a blue sleeveless
jacket over a light summer blouse. The trailing edges of the jacket
billowing behind her like some wind was carrying it. Slim white legs
peeked out of a white skirt trimmed with _LOTS_ of lace. The young
woman stood near the console as she slightly toyed with a small red
mallet with some sort of strange writings along its silvery length.
Mackie stared at her for quite some time beholding a face framed by an
overwhelming wealth of jet-black hair that shone like quicksilver under
the weak lights of the lab. <She's so much like an untouched flower.
You don't see much of those here.> He could see she was just as nervous
as he was. Of course, her fiddling with that small mallet could be
something else.
"Uh.... Hi?" he said, wincing slightly at how strained his voice
sounded.
The strangely clad woman gave him a slight smile. "Hi. My name is
Skuld, Goddess First Class." She extended her hand; trying to keep her
shaking under control. This was her first time in this sort of job.
Well, actually, it was her only time in it considering she promised Yuki
she'd fill in for her for the day since she wanted to go visit a distant
relative.
<How the heck do I let myself into these things?> she thought to
herself. <Simple, Skuld! Yuki knew you couldn't resist the lure of ice
cream!!>
She eyed the young man who seemed just as nervous as she was.
Something about him reminded her of her sister's husband. Someone she
took a looong time to appreciate considering how mortals were. And this
one was _NO_ exception.
"Huh? Wha?!!... Go...Goddess?" asked an utterly befuddled Mackie.
Skuld nodded. "Yup. I'm sorta new at the job but since I've been
drafted to take _this_ call, might I ask what wish you might have?"
"W.w...wish??"
Skuld sighed. <Slower than most humans.> she observed. Strange.
Most people would sell their souls to devils just to gain the wish from
anything. She eyed the strange young man huddled so in the corner. Then
again... goddesses _did_ tend to suffer form errors as humans do. Only
the Kami was free from such mundane trouble.
"Yes. One wish. Whatever you may desire, I am here to fulfil it
to the best of my abilities." She narrated from the small scroll that she
had in one hand. "Course, there are a few exceptions to that but
they're of little concern now."
"Wish??"
"Uh-huh." She answered flatly whilst she began tapping her foot on
the metal floor. Her eyes wandering at the desktop where sat an
absolutely perfect piece of machinery. Skuld practically 'cooed' with
delight but quickly suppressed it. She had a job to do and she didn't
want to botch it up. Not when a ton of ice cream was in the balance.
For Mackie, that moment the pretty woman had said something about
granting wishes made him wonder if the woman was sane. He hoped not.
Not with such a killer set of jugs like that. Or that damn perfect body
that would make even Priss drool with envy. His mind went over dozens
upon dozens of things he might want.
Super powers like those he read from all those American imported
manga stuff? Or something more saner, like getting laid by anyone he
wanted. He shook his head. For some reason, the thought did not sound
well for him. Images of Nene wearing bondage and leather or Priss doing
so and so to him ran across his hentai-filled mind. Other things came
and went; strangely, he felt they weren't what he wanted.
A faint smile touched the lips of someone who lay deep within the
shadows.
Skuld felt cold all over. Things like these always had a way of
upsetting her. Disasters usually followed soon after. Being Goddess of
the Future didn't help one bit with these crud precognitive senses of
hers.
Mackie's resolve hardened as he had made up his mind what to wish
for. A part of him asked if he was _sure_ of his decision. "Okay,
Goddess Skuld," he began as he drew his breath for what he was about to
say.
"I wish for you to be with me forever!!"
"NANI?!!!!!!!!!"
Of all the things anyone could wish, it just _had_ to be that one!
You'd think the Kami would have forbade that one after what her sister,
Belldandy, had gone through with Keiichi. The small, blue diamond-shaped
tattoo on her forehead began to glow. Mackie gasped; wondering if he had
somehow overstepped his bounds.
Suddenly, a strong gust of wind sent him tumbling towards the other
end of the lab as gale-force winds swirled all about the room. The
epicenter being where the young goddess hovered motionless. Mackie
covered his eyes as a bright flash of light burst forth from her forehead
and punched right through ten feet of reinforced carbon steel plating.
The beam of light traveled unhindered by what lay in its path as
the light was merely a spiritual one that only the truly gifted or those
who made the wish could see. The light show ended after a while, leaving
a very startled and very shocked Skuld.
"I CAN'T BELIEVE KAMI-SAMA's DOING THIS TO ME!!!" she cried out;
collapsing on the chair behind her. "Of all the times this had to
happen!! Now how am I gonna get home now?!!!" she moaned as she thought
of all that ice cream uneaten.
"Uh.... What happened?" Mackie wanted to know; his eyes watched the
irate goddess.
Skuld's attention turned towards the mortal that had so
thoughtlessly stuck her in this plane. Her eyes blazed with anger before
it died down when she saw him cringe in fear. She sighed. "Don't be
afraid. I _was_ angry, but I guess the Kami did this for some reason."
She stared the young man for a while before she continued. "Don't worry.
I'm not going to bite your head off or turn you into something." Skuld
giggled. Still, the human owed her for the loss of her ice cream treat.
"Only demons do those kinds of things."
Mackie gulped in distress. "D...de....demons?"
Skuld grinned. "Yep. Not to worry, though. As I'll be stuck here
for quite some time depending on what the Kami had decided, I guess I'll
have to take care of you." Mackie started to protest; claiming he did
well on his own. Skuld raised one eyebrow. "Yeah, right! That's why
you were ordering take out."
Mackie suddenly laughed and Skuld joined in after a while. Tension
between the two had eased up and both had decided to sit around and
discussed quite a few things. Mackie was awed to hear the young
goddess's knowledge of computers and advanced robotics and mecha
engineering.
<She's probably get sis a good run for her money. Then again, she
_did_ say she was the Goddess of the Future.> He wondered how the others
would take it when they saw her.
As if an answer to his musings, the sound of an elevator sliding
open with a pneumatic hiss alerted him to the presence of the others.
Mackie suddenly bolted out of his chair. "Shit! If my sis finds
out..." He spun around and scampered to lock the door. Skuld, meanwhile,
spent the time staring at her partner whom she found most intriguing
person. She _might_ enjoy her stay here. She hoped it wasn't too long.
She found Mackie running around the small lab like some headless
chicken as he tried - vainly - to find some way to hide Skuld.
"What are you doing?" she asked pointedly.
"Errr...." He glanced nervously at the door. A few more minutes
and her sister would find the code. Damn! "Skuld. Please hide! I'll
talk to you later and explain a few other things."
Skuld pondered this for a few heart-stopping moments. She nodded
briefly and opened a path into the heavens via the coffee. "Sure. I'll
be back first thing in the morning. Just leave a glass of water in your
room. I'll snatch a few things that I might need to settle down around
here."
Mackie blinked. "What? You'll be staying here????!!!"
"Uh-huh. Better make a good excuse to your sister, Mackie. Or the
contract might _just_ get nullified."
With that, Skuld disappeared. Just in time too as the door slid
open to admit a irate Sylia and the rest of the Knight Sabers who were
glaring at the man.
"What happened?!!" asked Sylia who was dressed in a black business
dress that, as always, greatly accented her 'ice queen' look.
"Errr.... I accidentally locked the door?"
Sylia sighed in exasperation. "One night, I leave you alone and
here you are practically making us worry. Do you realize just how scared
I was that something might have happened to you?"
Mackie nodded. Time to swing the conversation away while his
sister was off-balance. "Well, I was trying to get some take-out while
you were banging on the door."
Four pairs of eyes bored into his own; making Mackie feel like some
lab rat under those heated gazes.
"Can't you women give a lone guy a break?"
Priss smacked him on the head. "Yeah right, kid. Keep dreaming up
more toys to use and we'll think up of more ways to get back at you four
folds!"
The others eased up on him then. Mackie sighed, silently thanking
Priss with what she had said. Clearly, the others - save his sister -
had thought along the lines of his hentai habits. He never would have
thought _that_ habit would save his skin one day.
Sylia made a shooing gesture at her brother. "Go. There's a bag
of take-outs in the kitchen. Eat your fill but leave some for us too.
We'll be down here for quite a while in the training room."
"Uh... sure."
========================
"He's hiding something." Nene concluded differently when the
younger Stingray had left the lab.
Sylia nodded. "I know. But what?"
Priss shrugged. "Who cares. From the looks of it, it can't be
anything _that_ bad. We'd better finish up quick. I still have to get
back to Hot Legs before long.
"Another midnight extravaganza?" Linna asked.
"Yep. My career's been picking up lately. " Priss looked
thoughtful for a moment. "Even with the recent boomer rampages and all."
Nene pouted cutely. "Mackie's probably up to something hentai
again. Like that stunt he pulled on us yesterday."
Linna nodded while Priss merely doffed her leather jacket.
Sylia shook her head. "Whatever it is, I pray it doesn't land him
in too much hot water." She stared at all three whom she considered her
family outside Mackie. "I still do not approve of what you plan to do to
him tonight."
Linna snickered while Nene smiled an unholy smile. To think such a
cute face could have such a mean streak in her bone. Priss was just
watching and laughing. Sylia knew she was the one who had suggested the
whole thing.
"Fine." said Sylia. "Just don't overdo it like the last one. He
had to stay indoor for two weeks before that paint wore off."
Nene chuckled. "Too bad those Jusenkyo springs aren't real or I'd
have dropped him into one. Preferably the nannichuan one!!"
Sylia groaned; shaking her head. Priss was becoming an unholy
influence on sweet Nene-chan. Next thing she'll know, Nene'll be ridding
bikes and blowing boomers up.
