	It was the apocalypse.

The Earth finally had taken enough and decided to fight back. The sky
was burning, the ground had turned to lava, the seas has begun to boil.
It was the end of humanity as everyone knew it, but even worse for
Washuu Hakubi, it was the last time she ever saw her husband alive.

"Round up as many as you can," he had said to her. "Serenity will
wait for the last second before starting the process, so the moment
Tenchi arrives with his transports, start getting people aboard."

"Where the hell do you think you're going?" she said quite irritably.
His face grew considerably dark and he turned around to look up at one
of the few buildings that still stood.

"I have to make sure that this never happens again," he said slowly.

She reached forward and grabbed his hand, pulling him to face her.
"You promised yourself that"

"This has nothing to do with Pluto," he snapped. Then lowered his
head. "This is something I have to do. I'll try to one of the
transports before they leave, if not ..." he trailed off and looked up
to her with pain in his eyes.

"No," she said plainly. "No, I'm not going to let you do this."

"I have to," he said softly while raising his hand to caress her
cheek. She batted it away and turned her head. "I'm sorry," he
sighed.

	"Then don't go!"

"Just promise me something, my love," he said.

	"What?" she said painfully.

He brought his hand back up to her cheek. "Look for me when I come
out of stasis."

She lowered her eyes. "I promise."

"I love you," he said just before leaning in and kissing her deeply.

After that, he ran off into the city. A few hours later, Tsunami
lifted off from the Earth's surface just as Serenity cast her spell,
sealing the population of the city into stasis for a thousand years.
He never made it back to the transports.

A few days later, a man brought news to Washuu that her husband was
dead.

	She cried for two days.

She didn't sleep for a week.

She wouldn't talk to anyone for a fortnight.

Then she realized that she was pregnant. So she came up with an idea
to bring her husband back.
