    While I honestly admit, I haven't read any of the prior stories, I must say that this is intriguing.
    Happosai, I am sure, would exploit hypnosis to it's fullest if he learned how to do it.  However... I doubt his level of malevolence in the story.  It doesn't much seem like the Happosai we all know.
    Yet, I do not know the events of the stories..... so, I cannot say for sure.
    All in all, however, a good chapter, even as a standalone read <In my case>.  Carry on the good work.
