Umm, At the risk of sounding like that guy under the bridge...
Nerima is supposed to be the sort of place one escapes to, not
escapes from.
Why not choose one of the multitudes of post-apacalyptic animes
for the basis of your escape story?
Nerima is not really all that WAFFy of a place, any more than it is a
dark one.
Hmm. I'll need some help with this one. "Oi, Kasumi!"
"Hai Joe-san"
"Could you help me with this?"
"What?"
"Just read the bit above."
"Hai."
A moment later Kasumi bites her cheek. "I think I can show you better
than tell you. Oh, I'll need my kitchen. You just write it from here."
"Okay."
Kasumi flips past the blue curtains at the door to the kitchen
and rushes to the refrigerator. She opens the freezer and pulls
out a small cardboard tub, then opens the cooler and pulls out a
a couple of jars. She puts it all on the table.
"See, Nerima is like this," she said, holding out the tub. "Ice
Cream. Vanilla. My favorite." She pulls a small bowl from the
cabinet and fills it with two scoops of ice cream. "Now this...,"
she says holding up a jar of chocolate sauce, ...is Ranma." She
pours a small measure on top of the ice cream. "And this...'" she
says holding up a jar of strawberry sauce "...is Akane." She pours
some of the strawberry into the bowl. "If I had a banana, I could
show you Toufu-sensi," she said, blushing.
"Next..." Kasumi rushes arround the kitchen, pulling items from
cabinets and the fridge again. "See here? Pizza dough, tomato sauce,
cheese, onions, Pepperoni, and last but not least, anchovies.
There's a blur of motion, and the clock spinns 20 minutes forward
and she pulls a bubbling hot pizza from the oven. She sprinkles it
with crushed peppers.
"Looks good doesn't it. I like Pizza too, but not with chocolate
or strawberry sauce, and I love Vanilla Ice cream, but only Akane
would think to put anchovies on ice cream." Kasumi hid her mouth
with her hand. "She did once." Another blur of motion and a
second bowl appears filled with ice cream, anchovies and onions.
She sprinkles it with crushed peppers.
"So what I'm saying is..."
"This is your brain..." She holds up the ice cream with chocolate
and strawberry sauces. "...Or maybe this is your brain...." she
holds up the pizza.
She puts it down and reaches for the last bowl.
"And this is your brain on Akane's cooking."
So why not choose AMG or another more WAFFy series for the basis of your
next WAFF story, Joseph? :)
Silly question.
Because AMG is like cake, and I prefer ice cream.
People who live under glass bridges.... ^_^
