Actually I've seen worse.  There's an old teaser nobody has ever got
around to doing that involved one Dominique Destine getting caught in
the crossfire while on a business trip to Japan and winding up with a
Drug-Induced-Passion for some studly hatchling with a pigtail
<sadistic grin>.

Imagine Asuka being the lone human who survives the Third Impact.
Destroyed, she is approached by a goddess who grants her deepest and
most desired wish. As a result of that she is sent to Ranmaverse.

Actually a variant of this is already being worked on.  Asuka survives
to make a wish to Skurudo-megamisama for a chance to stop the Second
Impact.

Good news, it worked and she's now possessing a teenage girl in 1998
Nerima.

Bad News: Asuka is now subject to odd blackouts, got invited on a date
by some purple-haired lesbian with a wierd accent, and just got
smacked around by some sow calling herself Akane.

Life Just Got Complicated.
