Minna,
I will be leaving for San Diego in about 4 hours (approx. 6 A.M. CST)
and will be gone until the 19th. My box will probably be full by late
afternoon tomarrow and will start boncing messages (Tybalt-san, please
don't ban me. won't be here to prevent it). Anything important (or
not so important) that someone thinks I need to read can be sent to my
cousin's address (RyougaHibiki@webtv.net) until I get back. Anyone who
is attending San Diego Comic Con International, please keep an eye out
for me. Also, I will be gone from September 1st - 10th and will have no
e-mail acces during that time. Anything I should read during then will
have to await my return.
Now for the request. Until last month myself and a few long time
frieds have been running a non-profit business known as "Hair Care
Fanime Producions." What we did is take some of our fanics (and a
select few others) and my friend Scott Douglas (who is a great fan
artist and has a bachelors degree in animation drawing) would animate
them. We would then dub the voices onto the animation and distribute
them (as I said, no profit was made for anyone involved {actually we
usually lost money on them, but we kept doing it because we enjoyed
it}). Now however, Scott has been hired by a large animation company in
Europe (I think they saw one of our tapes and liked his work, he usually
did include a copy with his applicatons) and taken all of his video and
sound equipment with him (as well as his talent). I was wondering if
there is anyone on this list that has the talent and the equipment to do
their own animating and voice recoring that would be willing to take his
place. Anyone interested please send me an e-mail with your name and
qualifications or samples of your work.
Well, that's all for now. I'll talk to you all when I get back (and
maybe a post or 2 from my cousin's address is anything noteworthy
occurs). Until then, ja ne.
Sincerely,
Akihiro
