First fic and quite a rough draft. While it will be mentioned everyone is
OOC. I feel that by the time this takes effect everyone should have matured
to a point. Also I am not great with proper names for children in Japanese
and Chinese. I took some names I had heard in other anime or that sounded
like it could possibly be a name (remember this is from someone whos father
named candy, not candace, candi, etc but candy). This was origanally done in
word and pasted into the text. If you have probs pls let me know.

Reminder - all rights belong to whoever they belong to, definately not me.

As I looked down on his sleeping form in their bed, even after everything that had happened I still thought of it as
their bed, wondering if they had been right.

They had married as soon as they graduated from High School. Her two rivals were her bridesmaids, they had
formed an uneasy truce between them after the first bombed wedding and by then they all felt more like best friends
than rivals. Neither one of them went to college. She started working in the dojo and teaching classes, he would
help with some advanced students and between the normal craziness that follows him and tournaments he stayed
very busy. Nikko had been born a year after they were married. Shampoo and Ukyo were his aunts and Ryoga and
Moose were his uncles. Two years later little Mioka was born. His parents and Nabiki had both wanted to name her
Ranko but they had both nixed that idea right off. It was a few months after Mioka's birth that it started.

He had been teaching Nikko in the dojo after the normal students had left. He was talking about honor, she was
listening with Mioka behind them. Nikko had made a comment about how much he wanted to grow up like his dad,
who always honored a promise. Ranma had gotten a strange look on his face with that one. I was puzzled by it but
he wouldn't tell me what caused it.

That was when it started. Little things at first but when he said he was planning on taking Nikko on a training trip
like his dad did him I realized quickly what he wanted. I asked him outright "Do you want a divorce?" at which he
looked a little sheepish but I had my answer.

His father and mother both yelled long and load, his mother had even threatened seppaka but I stopped that. And
my father <shudder> he cried like you wouldn't believe.

Within a week I had started the paperwork for the divorce and he had started seeing Ukyo. One day the three of us
girls were sitting together and Shampoo had said "after Ukyo is Shampoo's turn with Ranma". Ukyo and I had
looked at each other but couldn't really prove her wrong.

Moose and Cologne were in the corner at another table of the Nekohaten while we were talking and they both just
looked at us when Shampoo had said that. I could almost see them both nod.

The week after our divorce had become final I was a bridesmaid in their wedding. Ranma wouldn't really look at me
but he made sure to pay a lot of attention to Nikko and Mioka.

Within a few months their marriage was having problems. Ukyo couldn't believe all the trouble that Ranma brought
with him. She was about ready to file for divorce but found out she was pregnant so they stayed married. Ukyo
confided to Shampoo and me that she could hear him saying "honor" many times a day.

Ryoga and Moose were helping me at the dojo in their spare time. Moose had been running the Nekohaten for the
last few years. He had gone to college and gotten a degree in business (as well as laser surgery for his eyes). Many
women go to the Nekohaten now to hopefully catch his eye. Shampoo and him are good friends, but she doesn't like
all the woman that come looking at him. I heard her say one time that she would do to him what he had done to her.
I guess his infatuation with her was also his way of keeping men that he felt were unworthy away from her. Ryoga
was currently staying with me and helping out. He had tried staying with Akira and actually thought about marriage
but when the newborn pigs are larger than his cursed formand he really hates pigs. He's done more training with
Cologne and really is quite well known and respected. He works for the police department a lot and I asked him once
why he stays with us when he could have a place of his own. He made some comment about getting lost anywhere
else. After he started seeing Kodachi I asked him again and his comment that time was a little more in the line of "I
looking out for you and the kids". When I asked when he was going to think of his own life he muttered something
about promises and until someone finishes a task. While he didn't say it I knew what he meant. As for him seeing
Kodachi. She's really not that bad anymore. She toned down quite a bit after high school. Sometimes she joins
Shampoo, Ukyo, and me at the Nekohaten.

One of the Kunos' laywer handled Ukyos' divorce. They did mine too. Both cases they treated like family, and its
not like Ranma had anything and they mostly just filed the paperwork for the divorces, he never disputed it. Then
again I am family and we all feel that Ukyo and Shampoo are family as well. He's toned down a lot since Nabiki
finally allowed him to haul her to the alter. That was a courtship! Nabiki is doing quite well with Samatoma Corp and
they are even planning on making her a VP. Considering her age, that is quite an accomplishment. Kuno is a big
criminal lawyer, he and Ryoga work together quite often on cases.

I think Kasumi and Tofu both know what Ranma is trying to do. Kasumi got her degree in OB\GYN and while she
didn't deliver my two (tried to keep the families from going nuts) she did deliver Ukyo's and she's had three of her
own. I don't know who was happier when we found that the curses don't transfer to the children, Kasumi, Tofu,
Ranma, or me.

Within a week after Ukyo filed for divorce, he left with Shampoo to go to the Amazon village. Cologne stopped by
on there way out and told me not to worry. It seems she knew what he is doing as well. He was there for a few
months when Moose told us Shampoo gained more respect in the Amazons eyes after they met him and he was
there for a while that any Amazon since the founders. He challenged just about every belief they have. Cologne
and Shampoo would send letters about the problems he was causing. Not only with the trouble that follows him but
with his attitude. The marry man that beat you in combat law is now null and void thanks to Ranma. And he said
out load in a meeting that he couldn't understand how Amazons got so weak that they felt they had to kill another
woman that could defeat them instead of welcoming them into the tribe. Cologne is still chuckling over the changes
he caused.

When Ranma showed up on my door holding Lim I didn't know what was going on. Why was he carrying his son
and bringing him here. He looked at Ryoga and asked if he could put Lim in with him for the night then disappeared.
Now I find him asleep.

"Ranma" I say kinda softly, leaning close to him. All of a sudden I'm wrapped in his arms and he is still asleep. I
guess I can ask what happened when we wake up.

*****

I wake up to an empty bed, something I have gotten used to in the last four years. Then I realize that his scent is on
the pillows and Ryoga is fighting someone in the dojo. As I get up and ready for the day Mioka comes in with a
small boy I don't recognize right off.

"Mom, Lim is hungry and Daddy and Uncle Ryo are practicing in the dojo. Nikko is watching them and trying to
figure out the techniques they are using. Can you fix something for him?"

"Sure Mioka, I'll be down in few minutes. Why don't you get pour some milk for you both until I get there."

"Ok Mom"

I guess last night wasn't a dream. I wonder if Ryoga would mind taking the kids to the zoo today.

After making breakfast I sat Lim down at the table to start eating and had Mioka go to the dojo and get everyone
else.

As they come in Ryoga says to me "Is it OK if I take the kids to the fair in Juuban today"

"Sure Ryoga" yes, he knew we needed to talk and instead of me asking him he had already thought about it.

I turn as I hear part of a conversation between Ranma and Nikko "honor is one of the most important things you can
have. If you cannot fill an obligation that is one thing but if its possible for you to fill it you must."

Then Ryoga pipes in "unless it breaks a law. You must find a way to honor your word without breaking the law or
hurting people unnecessary." With that he looked at Ranma. Ranma looked back to him and they both nod.

After breakfast was finished and cleanup completed, Ryoga took all the children. He called Ukyo and asked if
Sunshi could come as well. Then called Kodachi and asked if she would like to help. Ranma briefly got a hunted
look when he heard her name but when she arrived with Sunshi and the kids greeted her friendly he lost the look.
Ryoga just laughed at him. Lim held onto Mioka as they left and Sunshi and Nikko were running ahead.

I looked at Ranma and said "Honor satisfied?"

He got a relieved look on his face and said "Yes". Then he looked at me and said "You don't mind about Lim do
you? Since Amazon males aren't equal to the females I thought I should raise him."

I just nod in understanding with a small half smile on my face. We were right all those years ago, Ranma and his
honor. Trying not to be like his father, he would do what he could to make sure his friends honor was upheld as
well.

I look at him and ask "What next"

"Since the Amazons don't really marry the same way, I was divorced from Shampoo as we left the village. I figure we
can get married tomorrow."

I just look at him, "that's my Ranma."

The doorbell rings and we go to answer it together. It seems an oni has escaped and causing trouble and they were
wondering if Ranma could help. Just then the oni comes to the house. Ryoga, Kodachi and the kids return after
seeing it coming, Ukyo shows up with Moose, Kuno arrives with a blazing sword. Shampoo comes in with her two
daughters and Cologne and someone I didn't recognize but Ranma was back and everything was back to normal.
Or more to the point, as normal it would be with Ranma around,. Kodachi and Ukyo grabbed the kids and went to
Cologne. Letting the rest of us know that they were guarding the kids so not to worry about it. Ukyo and Kodachi
each gave me a little smile and a shake of their heads. The others may not be able to deal with it on a normal basis
but for me this has been normal since I was sixteen and I wouldn't want my life any other way. After all that's 'my'
Ranma.
