Good, because if you were to write a Ranma story which featured
that
most irritating of all abuses of Nihongo, "Ranma no baka!" I'd have
to
send Koban 9X the assassin robot to track you down and kill you.
Just a friendly warning...
"Abuses of Nihongo"?
Let me point something out to you, Mr. Koban.
Take the English language. For quite a few years now, kids,
teenagers, and even adults have been walking around saying such
things as "Dude!", "Yo mama", and "Fuck you".
Are these textbook, proper English? No.
Are they abuses of the language? Well, that's debatable.
It also is a moot point. They're colloquialisms. Regional, cultural,
generational phrases that have evolved by some strange means, spread
out, and have become as integral to the language as "See Spot run."
"<name> no baka" is a Nihongo colloquialism.
You can call it an abuse of the language if you want to, but given
that it's quite frequently used in places other than fanfiction...
