I just read The_supergenius' responce I'd just have to say 'forget what he
said that makes a fight boring as all HELL!' being technical always defeats
the purpose of writting fiction. if you're not writting a how-to book being
technical would only make a reader less interested as technical is not
something everyone would understand. granted your characters shouldn't be
pondering the reality of space-time but neither should their thoughs be
limited to 'gee I better duck this punch or it'll hurt'. also special moves
and the like should have complete descriptions but based on what it does not
how it's done (but explaining it before or after is cool if done right {ie by
explaining it to a trusted ally in the story or in thoughts as one tries to
improve it not by going around saying to everyone 'check out what I can do if
I move my ki in a certain way'}). and most important 'don't be afraid to do
something different!'
