Who says a commentator needs to mince words?

He doesn't. I've told people that a particular work was simply horrible,
and I've been told the same (thankfully, only once). The difference
between someone like Mr. Troll and others who speak their mind are that
they give CONSTRUCTIVE critisism.

IMO, Megane6.7's MST of Sheep Sheep was much more scathing than anything
Guy's posted (including that idiotic flame to catbert, for which I think
he ought to be banned). However, if Sheep Sheep decides to fix his
writing based upon the points touched in the MST, then I'm sure that his
next piece will be much better.

I'd rather have this
Guy critique my works, over someone who can't bring himself to
say something negative.

Really? Okay, here's the instant Guy under the Bridge Critique (tm).
You'll need some dice for this.

*BEGIN HERE

If an SI fic, 100% chance of a flame, no matter how good it is, or what
background the author has had in fic development before. Disregard the
*DICE section.

*DICE

Roll die.
If you roll a four or lower, then mark fic as OCC
Roll die.
If you roll a three or lower, then mark fic as Pointless.
Roll die.
If you roll a two or lower, then mark fic as a dumb idea.

If you've gone through this whole section without getting a negative
remark, then begin the *DICE section again. After all, I don't think that
I've seen a post without at least one of these remarks, whether applicable
or not (except for the catbert flame)

What? Don't know how to fix your fic, because the comments are too vague,
or make sweeping generalizations? Can't see how to make a character
develop and grow without being called OCC? Confused as to how one
might keep some suspense without being told that what you're doing is
pointless?

Guess what? Neither does anyone else.

You also take into account other peoples' opinions
on your writing. Then use what you have found to improve your
fanfic!

See above comment. When I get critisism, I always try to incorperate it.

Accept the fact that, maybe, just maybe, he
can only write in the 'tactless' style. Get over it.

Remember, it's not HOW he says it that we care about; it's what he says.

PS- Oh Tybalt please don't ban me for this outbur--COME OFF IT,
PEOPLE! The admins aren't going to permban you for speaking
your mind.

Tybalt has banned people for excessive, blatant flaming that has nothing
to do with fanfiction. I think the fact that people are willing to speak
their minds despite the chance that they can get banned says something
about this situation, don't you?

-Natsume Ranma Ranma

The sardines weren't worth the trouble. A few more shots, then
Ryoga-san would overheat and explode. Ducking around a corner,
I managed to lose him as I entered the ramshackle residence of
my Anime supplier.

One look at his face and I knew that I was betrayed. "Tell me."
I insisted. He refused, so I slammed him against the wall.
"Last chance. Where can Ranma-Ranma find good fanfics?"
"Try Jason Liao." he whispered, before he slumped to the floor.
I heard the sounds of a door splintering as I left through the
window, one step ahead of Tendo Heavy Industries...
