               I disagree. Ranma has a very strong sense of honor and if he
feels slightly 
responsible for someone's bad condition he will help rectify the mistake.
Ranma feels responsible for Miko and even if he doesn't want to protect and
take care of her, he will.

                     I agree, Kuno slightly-demented Samurai sense would not
let him attack a child but he might try to kidnap the child from the "evil
sorceer Saotome" in a misplaced attempt to protect the child. Since this is a
darkfic, I think that Kodachi could possibly want to harm and/or kill the
child.
